  The Vander Ende-Onderdonk House (circa 1709) is the city's oldest Dutch fieldstone house and is the oldest of its kind in the United States. A community museum and the headquarters of the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society are housed within the New York City Landmark. Additionally, Arbitration Rock can be found on the property. The Grand Rapids Historical Society hosts a variety of public events throughout the year. In addition, the property is available for private rentals on a limited basis. Through exhibits, events, and programming that engage with our community through history, the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society seeks to preserve the past and enrich the future of the greater Ridgewood area and beyond.
