With high glass ceilings and exotic greenery, the setting becomes more spectacular after sunset. Additionally, the Great Room is only a short walk away from the Day Chapel, making it a magnificent place for a wedding reception. The Porcelain and Decorative Arts Museum The Porcelain and Decorative Arts Museum is the newest world-class facility at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. The porcelain pieces on display highlight works inspired by nature, particularly flowers, butterflies and birds. The two-story 8,750 square foot facility includes beautiful gallery spaces and a large classroom that opens onto the display gardens to expand the learning experience.   Our Balcony Dining Area may be rented for parties of up to 40 people, and we provide a full-service menu. This room is placed on the second floor and has three walls encircling it, with the fourth wall uncovered to provide a view of the main dining room below. A floor-to-ceiling curtain separates the open wall idea from the rest of the room, creating a more contained and personal environment for your visitors. This space is illuminated by a spectacular wall of tall windows, which, when combined with an independent volume control sound system and an accessible flat screen television, creates an inviting and delightful ambience. There is a meal and beverage minimum requirement. Vegetarian and vegan choices are available for all events, upon request, from our Executive Chef. Any dietary limitations that exist among the group members should be communicated to the Event Manager in advance. If you prefer to hold a private event at St. Cecilia, the church can be closed to the public for your convenience. The complete dining room, bar, and balcony spaces will be purchased as part of the sale of the restaurant. Catering services for up to 150 people in cocktail hour, passing or stationed hors d'oeuvres options, and seated lunch or dinner are available, as well as a reception-style event catering service for up to 250 guests. For buyout events, there is a food and beverage minimum that is determined by the day of the week and the time of day the event takes place.   ​This historic property is located on the edges of Kirkwood and Edgewood. It’s been home to history, innovation, film projects and now your good times! Originally built in 1904 by Pratt Engineering, this location was used for the production of fertilizer bombs during WWI. Later it was used to develop and patent liquid carbonated gasses, which was then purchased by The Coca-Cola Company while it was still a start up. The Pullman Company Purchased the property in 1926, expanded it and gave it its iconic name. Pullman was renowned for luxurious rail travel across the country, and used the site to repair passenger and cargo cars. The Pullman company was also one of the largest employers of African American men during segregation: The Pullman Porters. These men formed the nation’s first African American labor union affiliated with the American Federation of Labor: Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and Maids. Founded by civil rights activist A. Phillip Randolph, the union aimed to improve the working conditions and treatment of African American railroad porters and maids employed by the Pullman Company across the country. As travel by rails died down, the site was abandoned becoming a popular destination among not only local street artists, but as a filming location. In 2017, the site was purchased by Atomic Entertainment, who have redeveloped the site as an “entertainment destination of the south” serving as a creative and cultural focal point. This has ushered in a new era for the site with the advancement of film and television productions such as Hunger Games, Fast and Furious, Baby Driver and Bad Boys 3. Now that the Pullman Yards is open and operational, our aim is to bring fun, arts and culture to the neighborhood, the city of Atlanta and all its surrounding areas. Pullman is host to rotating exhibits, two on-site restaurants, and Emory’s Science Gallery.
