Perspective can be gained through the distance created by the pandemic and our separation from the familiar—work, friends, family, and social lives. We have decided to re-locate and transform Bouley at Home and Bouley Test Kitchen into a new concept due to the inherent difficulties of in-person dining in the face of the ongoing dangers of Covid-19. As we prepare to relocate from 31 West 21st Street to a new venue in Lower Manhattan's TriBeCa neighborhood (location to be determined), we are taking advantage of this rare opportunity to envision and plan what the new Bouley will look like. Bouley has been many things to many people over the course of my 35+ years in the business world. In order to achieve unbreakable health, our mission continues to be to create the most nutrient-dense menus possible while immersing guests in a community of shared culinary knowledge. Our international and discerning clientele has always pushed us to try new things and be more creative in our approach. Our reputation as a forum for high food standards has always compelled us to take on social responsibility, which has deepened our commitment to a variety of ways to inform people about how they can celebrate their culinary passions while also maintaining good health and wellness. We want to make available to you the high-quality ingredients sourced from our ardent organic farmers, to share the relationship we have with our fishermen and their values, and to share the people who raise our animals on organic diets in beautiful natural surroundings. As of right now, we continue to provide off-premises catering for private events and special occasions in homes as well as through our extensive network of partner locations. Our stunning formal dining and entertainment room, which was built by the King Family in 1810, is part of the final enlargement that was added to the home to create the structure that is now known as King Manor. There are genuine Federal Period design components in the space, which were meant to produce a warm, bright environment in an era before electric lights, as well as great natural acoustics for music performance. Meetings, tiny wedding ceremonies, book readings, recitals, and other small private events are all possible in this space. However, while food and liquids are not permitted in our period rooms, we do have a large foyer where light snacks and drinks can be offered, as well as access to the backyard if needed. A more informal private space, our North Kitchen is ideal for off-site meetings, classroom sessions, a bridal party dressing room or storage space while your event is taking place. Frankies Spuntino has earned a reputation for seamlessly hosting all manner of events — from weddings and intimate family celebrations to private barbecues and pop-ups. Frankies 457’s private event space is a converted blacksmith’s stable located in the garden behind their restaurant at 457 Court Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. The rustic brick building, constructed in the early 1900’s, can accommodate up to 40 people for a family-style dinner or up to 50 guests for a buffet event with scattered seating. For events of 41 to 70 guests, our Stable Garden space may be added to the Stable for expanded seating. The Stable Garden is located directly outside the Stable. For an indoor/outdoor event, the Stable doors slide completely open allowing free-flow between the spaces. During the cooler months the Stable Garden is winterized enabling you to celebrate at Frankies year round. Kelli Connell's twenty-year study with one model is an introspective examination of sexuality and gender roles in intimate relationships that form self-identity. Body language and clothes define the dualities of the person by mixing several photographic negatives of the same model in each image. The significance of these photos rests in their portrayal of internal conflicts as an outward object: a photograph. The spectator is presented with "constructed realities" through these pictures.
