Charlie Bird
5 King St, New York, NY 10012, USA- 1 Restaurant
- 1 Outdoor
Charlie Bird is a fun neighborhood restaurant located in Soho, NYC and offering an Italian-inspired, American-executed menu developed by Chef Ryan Hardy. Theo Lieberman oversees the wine program, a list featuring an exceptional selection of vintages and delicious wines. Charlie Bird is rooted in all things New York - from the brick and mortar walls that date back to 1880, to a kitchen that only sources local ingredients for the menu, to the hip hop-inspired art that covers the walls. The menu reflects Chef and Co-owner Ryan Hardy’s thoughtful interpretation of what he describes as a nod to Italian cuisine, influenced by his passion for making cheese, curing meats, digging for clams, diving for urchin, farming produce and crafting handmade pasta. Co-owner Robert Bohr and Wine Director Grant Reynolds developed the wine list, which offers a small but compelling array of bottles. The 60-seat space is decidedly NY, manifesting an understated modern aesthetic designed to offer amazing food in an ambiance that is both sophisticated and approachable. The Private Dining Room at Charlie Bird can accommodate up to 14 diners, providing New Yorkers renting this venue with something that they rarely get: isolation. Tucked away, the private dining room includes a handcrafted, custom-built walnut table and bespoke chairs made of vintage fabric. Exposed brick walls, clean wood lines and beautiful lighting fixtures compliment the aesthetics of the main dining room. While the menu format is family-style, the private dining experience at Charlie Bird is entirely customizable; guests collaborate with Hospitality Emcee Martin Gobbée and a Wine Team member to craft the perfect evening that best fits their occasion. Bouley Botanical
281 Church St, New York, NY 10013, USA- Spaces for 100-125 Guests
- 1 Restaurant
Since New York State's mandatory closings began on March 15th, we've been taking advantage of the opportunity to engage in some serious introspection about our collective safety and our future. Perspective can be gained through the distance created by the pandemic and our separation from the familiar—work, friends, family, and social lives. We have decided to re-locate and transform Bouley at Home and Bouley Test Kitchen into a new concept due to the inherent difficulties of in-person dining in the face of the ongoing dangers of Covid-19. As we prepare to relocate from 31 West 21st Street to a new venue in Lower Manhattan's TriBeCa neighborhood (location to be determined), we are taking advantage of this rare opportunity to envision and plan what the new Bouley will look like. Bouley has been many things to many people over the course of my 35+ years in the business world. In order to achieve unbreakable health, our mission continues to be to create the most nutrient-dense menus possible while immersing guests in a community of shared culinary knowledge. Our international and discerning clientele has always pushed us to try new things and be more creative in our approach. Our reputation as a forum for high food standards has always compelled us to take on social responsibility, which has deepened our commitment to a variety of ways to inform people about how they can celebrate their culinary passions while also maintaining good health and wellness. We want to make available to you the high-quality ingredients sourced from our ardent organic farmers, to share the relationship we have with our fishermen and their values, and to share the people who raise our animals on organic diets in beautiful natural surroundings. As of right now, we continue to provide off-premises catering for private events and special occasions in homes as well as through our extensive network of partner locations. Online purchases are available for our extensive wine list as well as mementos from Bouley's many incarnations throughout the years.

The Maritime Hotel
363 W 16th St, New York, NY 10011, USAAs the National Maritime Union's headquarters, the nautically themed structure was originally designed by New Orleans modernist architect Albert Ledner in 1968 to serve as the union's headquarters. In the late 1940s, Ledner worked as an apprentice under the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, where he developed his own playful style. This fanciful approach to modernism was long dismissed by design purists, but The Maritime is now considered to be part of a wave of modernist architecture that is being viewed in a completely different light than it was previously. It had been open since 2003 but had undergone a transformation to better reflect its enviable location in the heart of Manhattan's fashion, art, food and business districts as well as the city's technology and creative industries. It was the first luxury hotel in the neighborhood, distinguished by its signature porthole windows, white-tiled exterior, and elevated outdoor terraces overlooking Ninth Avenue. As the modern, cool heart of Manhattan's Meatpacking District/West Chelsea neighborhood, the Maritime Hotel has maintained its position.
