  Since 1935, Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant has been a Fort Worth institution. Mr. and Mrs. Joe T. Garcia founded the restaurant, and it has remained in the Garcia family ever since. Throughout the restaurant and on our famed patio, there are signs of a long family heritage. Joe T. Garcia's had become one of the most popular restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by the 1970s. The restaurant began to expand not only in popularity but also in size as a result of their loyal consumers. The first addition was a modest patio with a pool and cabana. Every year since then, a new patio, party space, or eating area has been built. The seating capacity has grown from sixteen in the beginning to well over 1000 presently. Even as the restaurant grows, the same style of cooking and original recipes are used, and the younger generation exhibits the same passion and enthusiasm for the business that their parents and grandparents instilled in them. There are many lovely reasons to have a party or event at Joe T. Garcias. We can accommodate groups of 25 or more with our lush gardens and amazing indoor areas.   The Queen Anne Victorian home that was built in 1899 and is known as the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House is considered to be the most preserved of its kind in the region. This exquisite Victorian masterpiece of a little over 5,000 square feet was constructed by English architect Howard Messer for Galveston widow Mrs. George Ball (Sarah) and her son Frank in 1899. The home was built high on a hill overlooking the Trinity River. At a time when the typical cost of a dwelling was between $2,000 and $4,000, the construction of the house came to $38,000. The house has had just three different families live in it over its entire existence, and it has seen very few changes since it was first built. There are towers, gables, copper finials, a slate tile roof, and a porch made of red sandstone and marble on the late Victorian facade. The elegant interior has its original wood mantles, cornices, paneling, coffered ceilings, and parquet flooring. The McFarland House was declared as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1979, as well as Fort Worth's second Historic and Cultural Landmark in 1980. In 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and in 1980, it was certified as such by the state of Texas.

Construction on this venue began in the summer of 2019 and is expected to be completed by the end of August 2020. Numerous photographs that may be viewed here are offered to demonstrate the progress and development of the building, offering the audience an aerial view of our vision, creativity, perspiration, and dedication to the project.. Come along with us on our foray into the woods. Located in the heart of Texas's Hill Country, A Thousand Cedars offers a unique forest setting brimming with majestic Cedar trees, big Oak trees, and a variety of other native Texas plants. Many clearly indicated paths lead to the location, providing convenient access for the Wedding Party and their guests. The natural scenery also provides fantastic photography options for the entire wedding party and their guests. A Colorado and Industrial motif has been included into the design of the venue itself, which features Cedar beams, black iron trusses, exposed brickwork, vaulted ceilings that reach 30 feet in height, and enormous glass windows on all sides that let the forest and natural light to fill the space. Our Bridal and Groom Suites, which are completely furnished, are accessible via a stairway near the entryway. Each Suite will be large enough to accommodate entire bridal parties as they prepare for the big day, and it will be equipped with its own shower, bath, vanities, mirrors, and windows to let in plenty of natural light. Leading from the suites, you will arrive at the inside balcony, which provides a panoramic view of the entire reception hall and is an excellent location for additional wedding day photos or bouquet throwing. In the back of the Ceremony/Reception hall, there will be a complete bar for you to stock with your own beverages, as well as access to a kitchen for any culinary needs you may have.
