A 37-acre private estate that is entirely yours for your event. Manicured gardens, a private ponds with English swans, fountains, and two prestigious event tents. Accommodates up to 400 guests. Swedish immigrant Erick Sanders, a successful business and lumberman in Seattle and Bainbridge Island, built this elaborate craftsman house for himself and his wife Sara. The Sanders and several partners purchased 1,100 acres of land in the Green River Valley west of Kent as an investment. After constructing the Mill Pond and sawmill they began to harvest the timber. As a result, the open fertile farmland allowed for the start of what is now known as the Smith Brothers Dairy Farm. On this land, they founded the standard dairy and mill operations. Between 1908-1910 the Sanders’ mansion was constructed with lumber from the recently invested mill, salvaged glass from the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, and excess bricks from the West Valley Highway construction. Most of these original features that have made the Sanders Mansion a unique and modern home of the early 1900’s and been maintained and restored to keep up our Estate as a historical landmark. You can still expect to see original light fixtures in the home and enjoy a warm shower in very rare and original “cage shower” in the upstairs restroom. The mansion was to be the Sanders’ retirement home, equipped with every modern experience and decked out in plants and trees galore. As the years went by the unobstructed view of the valley farmlands and Mt. Rainier were just a few benefits that the Sanders’ got to enjoy within their property. As for the 21st century, the Sanders Estate is our lush home away from home tucked in the corner of Kent.

Barn for Receptions in the Outdoors Beautiful rustic barn with weathered siding and rock wall exterior that is open on the east side, exposing views of the pond, waterfall, gardens, farm, and mountains. The interior is finished with a wood stove. Its partially enclosed interior is finished with clear cedar and recycled rusted tin, and it opens up to a large patio with a waterfall as well as lush gardens, hanging basket roses, and pergolas, and it has stairways that lead down to an open, grassy lawn. Strings of clear lights are strung across the patio and dance floor, creating an enchanting and romantic ambiance for your reception to take place in. There are numerous picturesque locations for the "first look" and additional photographs on the big day. There are a variety of options for your ceremony location. The facility is located indoors. A large stone fireplace, numerous windows for natural lighting, and beautifully finished hardwood wainscoting are among the highlights of this room. Everyone who lives, works, or attends school in Mount Baker is automatically enrolled as a member of the Club. There are no membership dues to pay! The Mount Baker Community Club, founded in 1909, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to providing a meeting area for neighbors to get together, get to know one another, and foster a sense of community. Throughout the year, the Community Club offers a variety of activities and festivities. The Clubhouse can be rented for a variety of purposes, including private events, parties, off-site meetings, and other gatherings. You have the option of renting the full facility or simply the ballroom or conference room. The space is equipped with audio-visual equipment, a range of tables and seats, and a fully functional kitchen. Wisteria Hall sits within the 230-acre Washington Park Arboretum, a botanic garden setting that gave the venue its name — the wisteria vines that climb the arbors surrounding the building. The hall is built with fir beams and large windows looking out over its adjoining south and west terraces, which extend the space outdoors for larger gatherings. Wisteria Hall accommodates weddings, mitzvahs, conferences, and social and business events, seating up to 80 guests banquet-style or hosting up to 90 for a reception indoors; the South and West Terraces add outdoor capacity for receptions of up to 100 guests each.
