An Unrivaled Setting for Private Events Cipriani South Street at the Battery Maritime Building is the new home to New York’s most exciting and important gatherings. The renaissance of this magnificent architectural treasure was led by the internationally acclaimed design house of Thierry Despont, whose other well-known historical restoration projects include the Ritz Hotel in Paris, the Statue of Liberty, the Carlyle Hotel and the Woolworth Building in New York City among others. An abundance of unique details have been beautifully preserved throughout the building including the expansive patterned glass ceiling in the Great Hall, the Guastavino tile arches of the loggia, hundreds of mullioned glass windows, and exposed period ironwork. The second floor events complex includes a private arrival foyer and grand staircase, two separate pre-function rooms, and the 9,000 square foot Great Hall which accommodates up to 800 seated guests. Windowed pre-function spaces filled with natural light offer separate spaces for cocktails, ceremonies and breakout meetings, including a rare outdoor loggia spanning the full length of the building facade. The Wang Contemporary

58 Bowery, New York, NY 10013, USA

Wang Contemporary occupies a landmarked 1924 Beaux-Arts building on the Bowery, restored as the future home of a private foundation dedicated to Asian contemporary art. The space brings together the architectural gravitas of old New York — original period detailing, cast stone facade, soaring proportions — with a minimal, atmosphere-first interior sensibility, resulting in a setting that feels both historically rooted and distinctly contemporary. As a foundation space rather than a conventional venue, Wang Contemporary offers a rare institutional context: exhibitions, artist dinners, cultural programming, and select private events set within an active center for Asian contemporary art in the heart of Chinatown. It’s suited to gatherings that call for cultural substance and a sense of occasion — collector previews, foundation events, curated dinners, and partnerships aligned with its artistic mission.

    Hawksmoor

    New York, NY, USA

Hawksmoor was inspired by childhood memories of how good steak could taste. Founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott (friends since they were 11) opened the first Hawksmoor restaurant on London’s Commercial Street in 2006. More restaurants in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, New York, Liverpool and Dublin followed. Our menus revolve around using the best ingredients we can find and cooking them as simply as possible – whether it be beef from grass-fed cattle, sustainable seafood from around the local coast, seasonal fruits and vegetables or local cheeses combined with great wines and interesting cocktails all served by people who love what they do.

  • Featured photo from Broad Street Ballroom

    Broad Street Ballroom

41 Broad St, New York, NY 10004, USA

A majestic space in every sense of the word, Broad Street Ballroom, part of Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, is one of New York City’s grandest event venues. 41 Broad was built in 1928 as the Lee, Higginson, & Company Bank Building. Cross & Cross architectural firm — known as Old Society New York’s architects of choice — designed it in an austere, late 1920’s Classical Revival style, an aesthetic that defined New York City both here and in other of their designs, including 20 Exchange Place, The Guggenheim Museum, and Columbia University Church of Notre Dame. Stepping into The Ballroom is like entering another era (with the exception of the amazing audio-visual setup). Located at 41 Broad Street in the heart of New York’s historic Financial District, the Broad Street Ballroom has captivated visitors for decades with its timeless elegance. The markers of New York’s Gilded Age complement this modern event space under Cathedral-height ceilings, with its Broadway-level 200-light rigging, full concert audio system, and modern HD projector with 22-foot by 22-foot screen. Originally designed in 1928 as a bank in the Classical Revival style by renowned architects Cross & Cross, the 5,800-square-foot Ballroom is adorned with 30-foot bronze capped marble mosaic columns. The room’s particular glory is a wraparound mural by artist Griffith Baily Coale, depicting generations of sailing vessels that reflect New York’s history as a port city and celebrate the Ballroom’s location in the heart of history. The Broad Street Ballroom is a place of celebration and community for the Léman Manhattan Preparatory School. Such events include The Ballroom’s partnership with The Artists Den, the critically acclaimed television and digital music series best known for presenting small, secret concerts by extraordinary artists in non-traditional settings for the TV show Live from the Artists Den. The show connects fans with a unique and intimate musical experience for some of the industry’s finest acts. Live from the Artists Den broadcasts nationally on public television, and internationally in the UK, Japan, Germany, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Latin America.
