Wave Hill offers the most romantic setting in New York City for your unforgettable wedding. Your ceremony takes place at the Pergola on the Great Lawn, with your cocktail hour either there or moved to the Lower Lawn or Kate French Terrace at historic Wave Hill House. Seated dinner is held in Armor Hall, which has a capacity capped at 130 guests, including a small band and dance floor in the Hall. If you choose to locate the dance floor nearby in the adjacent Mark Twain Room, the capacity is then 180 seated guests. Tented options are available at an additional cost for larger events up to 230 guests. Renting Wave Hill for a private weekend event requires a Wave Hill Membership at the $10,000 level. The tax-deductible portion is $9,748, and provides the wedding host with one year of Member benefits at this special level. In addition to Membership, the rental fee for a private evening event on the weekend is $8,000. Guest arrival begins at 6pm with departure at midnight. Wave Hill’s exclusive caterer, Great Performances, is dedicated to collaborating with you to create a personalized, quality experience for your guests. Facility Rental Fee: The venue does not charge a rental fee, but there is a guest minimum—Saturday evening’s minimum is 165 guests, and for Friday or Sunday the minimum is 125 guests. The initial Livingston, New Jersey-based residence was built in the late 1800s by famed architect Stanford White, who was responsible for designing the Tiffany building on Fifth Avenue, the original Madison Square Garden complex and the arch at Washington Square Park in Manhattan, among other landmark structures. Fox & Bear Lodge is comprised of 8 lush guest rooms, painstakingly restored to preserve the original character of the house, while at the same time delivering modern upgrades designed for our guests' comfort. We've infused it all with a sense of intimacy and warm personality, honoring the buildings' solid bones and graceful architecture with timeless design. ​All rooms at Fox & Bear Lodge have their own private en-suite bathrooms. All stays include a continental breakfast with most of the items you find being made in-house or coming from no more than 50 miles away. Whether you enjoy it leisurely in one of our many common areas, or on the trail before a hike (grab 'n go bags available), you will start your day off ready for whatever should come your way. We LOVE well-behaved dogs (under 35lbs, 2 max), so feel welcome to bring them along for your getaway! If your dog is a bit on the larger side, we will review those requests on a case to case basis.
