Novela is a literary-themed pub where traditional literary references appear in fresh and unexpected ways. Novela offers a fascinating and sophisticated environment that juxtaposes classic and contemporary design, from our chromatically classified book collection to the names of our house drinks, which are taken from characters in cherished literary works. The atmosphere is conducive to a variety of gatherings, ranging from boisterous after-work mixers to first dates and birthday parties. Seasonally changing drink and punch menus are masterfully designed by our professional bartenders. We collaborate to create a selection of innovative house cocktails and historically inspired punches-on-tap. Each of our house cocktails is made using components that aren't generally found in classic punches. The concept that leads our house drinks is a celebration of the season's local wealth of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs, from fluffy egg foams to the bracing depth of a deliciously bitter ingredient or an energizing home-made soda.

Nisei is Chef David Yoshimura's first restaurant after holding the position of Chef de Cuisine at the Michelin-starred Californios restaurant in San Francisco. The restaurant is located in the Russian Hill district of San Francisco. The restaurant Nisei is a celebration of the Japanese-American ancestry of its owner, Chef David Yoshimura. The tasting menu is inspired by the cuisine of California, which is known as Washoku. Washoku, which literally translates to "harmony of food," is the Japanese equivalent of "home cooking." The art of Washoku centers on a set of guiding principles that emphasize harmony in color, sense of smell and taste, and respect for the ingredients used in food preparation. To complement the experience, Nisei offers a selection of drinks from all over the world that have been painstakingly chosen by the General Manager and Sommelier, Ian Cobb. These drinks may be enjoyed with your meal. In 2019, Nisei launched as a pop-up restaurant, offering a 10-course tasting menu at various locations across the Bay Area for more than two years. The staff at Nisei is excited to finally be settled into its brick-and-mortar facility at 2316 Polk Street, and they look forward to providing their services to you.

The Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco (CCC) is a nonprofit arts and cultural organization founded in 1965, occupying 20,000 square feet on the third floor of the Hilton Hotel at the junction of the Financial District and historic Chinatown. Established during the Civil Rights Movement to combat racism and displacement in Chinatown, CCC opened its Kearny Street site in 1973 as a landmark concession to the growing movement in Chinatown around community land use. The center offers three primary event spaces across its main location at 750 Kearny Street: a 299-seat auditorium, a 2,935-square-foot gallery, and the Him Mark Lai Learning Center — making it well suited for large performances and screenings, art-forward receptions, educational programs, and community gatherings. A smaller space at 41 Ross Alley in Chinatown accommodates intimate pop-ups and private events. CCC's programming spans contemporary art exhibitions, thought leader seminars, and festivals including the Chinatown Music Festival and Hungry Ghost Festival. Events and rental inquiries are handled by the administrative team, who work with nonprofits, community partners, and private clients to make use of the center's culturally distinctive spaces.
