Café Intermezzo embodied the essence of the 300-year-old European coffeehouse long before modern "Coffee Houses" decorated corners all over America. When you enter Café Intermezzo, you are transported to another time and place. It's a break, a vacation, a 'intermezzo,' or 'intermission,' between the hectic acts of your life... in musical words, it's your respite between allegro and adagio.' Your vacation or meeting is complete with a delicious coffee and a lovely pastry. Purchase of a portion of the venue for up to 60 people Partially buying out our main and private dining rooms provides you with a venue that may accommodate up to 60 people for a formal seated dinner event in our restaurant. In 2011, when one of Atlanta's most celebrated and talented NBA players, Kevin Willis #42, teamed up with an award-winning and seasoned Los Angeles event designer/planner, they created a highly styled and vibrant event space! 42West Entertainment Group's event venue has emerged as one of Atlanta's most sought-after exclusive hot spots thanks to a clear aesthetic vision and nearly three decades of entertainment and celebrity-focused event experience. Event environments that are luxurious, exclusive, and creative are enhanced by the use of exquisite elements. 42West Entertainment Group extends a warm welcome. In terms of giving back to the communities in which they live, Kevin and Lauren have been at it for a long time. Between them, Kevin and Lauren have invested their hearts and souls into the underserved populations of inner cities all across the United States. They were able to create what is perhaps the most unique aspect of 42West Entertainment Group as a result of their non-profit experience. The duo came to the conclusion that the only way they could devote their full attention to an event space was to ensure that it included a significant give-back program. The Biltmore Hotel, which opened its doors in 1924 and served as the center of Atlanta's business and social life for over sixty years. This magnificent landmark was created by the architecture company Shultze and Weaver, which is also responsible for such iconic hotels as The Breakers in Palm Beach, the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, The Pierre, and The Sherry Netherland in Amsterdam. It was formerly referred to as "The South's Supreme Hotel," but the Biltmore was forced to lock its doors in 1982 after a change in ownership and several years of continuous deterioration. When The Biltmore underwent a complete makeover in 1999, it was the result of sixteen years of neglect and abandonment. The result was a combination of Class A office space and retail space, as well as a unique event area. The reconstruction of the Georgian and Imperial Ballrooms, which are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, allowed The Biltmore to swiftly reclaim its position as one of Atlanta's social and commercial hotspots. Miller Union is named after the former Miller Union Stockyards that occupied one full city block in Atlanta’s old meatpacking district in the 1880s. The stockyard building suffered a fire after the turn of the century and was later replaced with an industrial warehouse, typical of the time period. Miller Union, the restaurant, was founded in 2009 by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy in the refurbished warehouse that sits on the former site and has since contributed to the evolution of the neighborhood. They created a rustic, yet modern atmosphere with a respect for the history of the neighborhood, and an anchor for the emerging one. Miller Union has since become an Atlanta mainstay.
