If you live anywhere between Montgomery County, Maryland and Loudoun County, Virginia, or any other location in between, we have a perfect space for you. Learn more about our one-of-a-kind private dining spaces by reading on. Georgetown in the 1960s was a far cry from the thriving center of upscale shopping and tourism that it has become today. Putting a dapper Harvard grad in the same bar as some burly bikers on M Street may seem unlikely, but that's exactly what happened when the young Stuart Davidson decided Georgetown needed its own neighborhood saloon. Upon leasing the two-room B&J Restaurant, he would rename it after the Scottish river Clyde, and transform it into a gathering place for diners and cocktail drinkers who, like himself, "would rather eat in a saloon than drink in a restaurant." With its own bar and private indoor balcony, the Piedmont Room is located in the Chinatown/Penn Quarter, one of Washington's most vibrant neighborhoods. The room is decorated in the style of a country farmhouse, complete with a large bronze horse, sterling silver trophies, and chandeliers.

The Whittemore House is one of the most historically significant and aesthetically pleasing mansions in Washington. Sarah Adams Whittemore, an opera singer, commissioned its construction in the 1890s as a private residence. Founded in 1927, the Women's National Democratic Club has been based in the mansion. Today, we continue to honor and preserve this illustrious history and tradition by preserving a notable collection of antiques, artwork, and political memorabilia. Mrs. Whittemore's House and the History of Mrs. Whittemore The Whittemore House, designed by architect Harvey Page for opera singer Sarah Adams Whittemore, is located in the heart of the city's historic district. The fact that Mrs. Whittemore was the first woman to use the facility does not imply that she was the last. Womanhood has always been celebrated and empowered at the Whittemore House, whether through song or spoken word performances. For Each and Every Occasion There are nine enchanted rooms of varying sizes, which makes the venue an ideal setting for private parties, weddings, and other special events. Each has its own distinct personality and is tastefully decorated with antiques, artwork, and political memorabilia. There is something unique about this mansion in that none of its public rooms are square or rectangular in shape. A charming courtyard also serves as a comfortable outdoor setting for guests to relax and enjoy themselves.
