We work with youth, ages 16-24, who are in the foster care system, court-involved, homeless, out of school, parenting, or involved with the Department of Mental Health. At More Than Words, our young people earn a spot on our team running a successful $4M business, gain promotions, set and achieve personal goals, advocate for their rights, and learn skills to set them up for success in any career path they choose. Because too often our young people are treated for their problems rather than engaged as part of their own solution. In our work-based social enterprise, youth experience a real job and all that comes with it: a paycheck, a sense of mattering when a team relies on them, feedback and performance reviews, promotions and leadership. More Than Words started as the "book people" and we still are - but we are so much more. Our social enterprises are the vehicle for youth transformation and as we've grown we've innovated with new vehicles and new ways to connect with our community.

President John Adams signed a contract with Hingham's Martin Lincoln to construct a timber lighthouse with a keeper's cottage and outbuildings. The Hourly Oyster House
15 Dunster St, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA- Spaces for 100 Guests
- 1 Restaurant
We would like to invite you to join us in hosting it. The Hourly Oyster House can accommodate groups of all sizes for cocktail parties, reunions, corporate recruiting events, and other gatherings, and can satisfy a variety of budgetary requirements. An inviting neighborhood outpost in the heart of Harvard Square, The Hourly Oyster House serves thoughtfully sourced and playful prepared seafood and oysters from New England and beyond. The bar offers an extensive selection of signature cocktails, beer and wine as well as a carefully curated selection of craft beers and wines. Dunster Street, which was originally known as Water Street in Colonial times because of its proximity to the old banks of the Charles River, was once the meeting point for the horse-drawn wagons, known as "Hourlies," that left Cambridge each day – on the hour – for Boston. Dunster Street is now a residential neighborhood. This line, which was founded in 1826, was one of the first high-frequency transportation routes in North America and was one of the first in the world. The construction of the Harvard Square subway station marked not only a significant development in transportation, but it also laid the groundwork for future connections, collaboration and innovation between Harvard Square and Boston, and ultimately, the rest of the world. The history of the structure at 15 Dunster Street is just as rich and complex. The exact footprint on which The Hourly stands is believed to be the location where the first Freeman's Oath was printed in 1639. It is also the site of the original Second Cambridge Savings Bank building, as well as Herrell's, which has been a Harvard Square institution for 27 years and is a Harvard Square institution. When it comes to the Hourly, it pays homage to the square's colorful heritage while while providing a contemporary atmosphere and experience.

Slip Away Farm
Edgartown, MA, USAThe small-scale vegetable and flower farm Slip Away Farm is located on Chappaquiddick, a small island separated from Martha's Vineyard by a 527-foot ferry trip. Our mission is to provide our Island community with high-quality, organically cultivated flowers, fruits, and veggies. With the aid of her brother Christian and good friend Collins Heavener, Lily Walter founded Slip Away Farm in 2012. We started the farm on a one-acre lease in Katama, Martha's Vineyard, and delivered vegetables by bicycle to Chappaquiddick homeowners. Slip Away was relocated to the Marshall Farm on Chappy in 2013, a property jointly held by the Martha's Vineyard Land Bank and the Vineyard Trust. We acknowledge and respect the Chappaquiddick Wampanoag tribe's ancestral and contemporary homeland on this property. Please consider making a donation to the tribe to help them continue their efforts and receive compensation. In Chappy's original one-room schoolhouse, we now run an 85-member vegetable CSA, a 55-member floral CSA, and a self-serve farm market.
Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society
West Tisbury, MA, USA- Spaces for 333-1,344 Guests
The land and structures at 35 Panhandle Road in West Tisbury are steeped in history, and this is evident throughout the property. It was formerly owned by Edwin Newhall "Bob" Woods (the great-grandson of founding father and first Secretary of the Society, Henry L. Whiting), and it now contains the "new" Agricultural Hall, two animal barns, an outdoor riding ring, and outbuildings. The Agricultural Hall was built on 20+ acres at the intersection of State and Panhandle Roads. Surrounded by open space with old growth trees dispersed throughout and backed on one side by a big hayfield, the location emanates peace and beauty typical of rural settings. A wooden barn formerly located in rural New Hampshire was meticulously demolished board by board, numbered labeled, packed, and packaged before being transported to the island by 42 volunteer 'Barnbusters' in the spring of 1994. In November of that year, hundreds of people from all around the island came together in a confluence of generosity to assist in the raising, sheathing, shingling, and painting of the 'new' Hall. Adding a front hall and verandah in the style and spirit of the 'old' Ag Hall, which is now known as the Grange Hall, on State Road, was a priority. It is possible to rent out the land for a limited number of events such as weddings and funerals, as well as religious, non-profit, educational, and governmental functions, as well as agricultural and allied operations. Birthday and anniversary parties are not permitted at this time. Please get in touch with us to find out if your event comes into one of these categories, to check on date availability, and to obtain the most up-to-date rental pricing.
