Before the Civil War, the property's grand hotel, known as the Pavilion, hosted Presidents James Monroe, James Madison, and Martin Van Buren, along with Chief Justice John Marshall, in a four-story hall with a 4,000-square-foot ballroom. Hidden Valley Country Club is a private, family-oriented country club set in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Roanoke Valley in Salem, Virginia. Founded in 1949, the club has hosted weddings, banquets, and corporate events for more than 70 years and was voted Best Wedding Venue in 2020 and 2021 by The Roanoker Magazine. Membership is not required to host an event on the property. The clubhouse offers a few distinct event spaces.
