This magical property from a bygone era began with an incredible story about the fabulous Colonel Henry Johnston Wallace from Kentucky who was known as the Wizard of Palm Lodge Grove for his ability to cultivate over 8,000 incredible specimens of tropical fruits and flowers - many not found anywhere else in America. This tropical oasis features colorful butterfly gardens that were claimed to have been planted by one of South Florida’s famous founding fathers, David Fairchild who was an honorary pallbearer at Colonel Henry’s funeral. Once you enter the property, you’re transported back to a simpler time on two acres of a glorious paradise whose stellar secret gardens showcase its grand dame: Palm Lodge.
