In 2006, that love became a small bistro on Polk Street in San Francisco. Word spread. The concept traveled — to Fairfax, to West 8th Street in New York, to Amsterdam Avenue — until it finally found its way to Logan Circle, D.C., where it's been welcoming neighbors and newcomers alike ever since.
