The current structure was constructed in the 1920s under the direction of Dr. Cole Cleveland Fuqua, Sr., who sourced reclaimed timber from an earlier building on the property. Original oak flooring, cedar-lined closets, and hand-carried heart pine beams remain intact throughout, giving the mansion a character that reflects its long history. The property was opened as a wedding and event venue after the current owners recognized a shortage of suitable facilities in the area.
