    • Spaces for 300 Guests

The Marbury Center is a historic event venue in the heart of downtown Augusta, Georgia, originally built in the late 1890s to serve as the city's fire department. The building operated as such until the 1970s before undergoing meticulous renovation and preservation work that transformed it into one of Augusta's distinctive spaces for weddings, social gatherings, and Masters Tournament events. The venue consists of a main hall and an outdoor courtyard, giving guests room to spread out and mingle across two connected settings. The main hall features abundant natural light, while the courtyard overlooks two original stables where horses once pulled fire carriages — a detail that lends the space its layered sense of history. The courtyard works especially well for pre-reception cocktail hours or al fresco dining and dancing. Roux's Catering serves as the preferred catering partner for events at The Marbury Center, offering full-service catering from the same team that manages the venue.

    Barn South

    • Spaces for 250 Guests

Barn South is a wonderful place to visit. Rachel and Mark Campbell, the owners and designers, created it with their vision. They envisioned bringing a comfortable and tastefully designed meeting area together for sharing in life's important occasions, starting with an open naturalistic setting. The wide view across the meadow to the lovely white farm barn greets you as you enter the property. Closer investigation reveals the attention to detail and forethought in the modern embellishments. As you approach the large factory-style steel doorway, you are attracted into an interior with soaring exposed rafter ceilings that transform the plentiful natural light into a moving waltz across the area. By night, thoughtfully placed barn lights and café strings transform the modern gambrel barn into a lovely evening glow. We appreciate your imagination and desire for a one-of-a-kind wedding. We'd appreciate it if you could refrain from using nails in our walls to help us keep Barn South looking so nice. Candles are permitted if they are enclosed, kept away from combustible decor, and not left unattended. We invite you to view the area and envision your next event with us. This beautiful venue is waiting for your own touches to help you and your guests create unforgettable memories. Please contact us to discuss your upcoming event.

Events are once again in full swing, and everyone — from CEOs to brides — is ready to celebrate. While we were immersed in the virtual world, new event spaces in Atlanta opened their doors to provide us with new opportunities to come together to celebrate and perhaps even share hugs. Here are three of our favorite new venues for hosting corporate and social events alike, all of which have recently opened their doors. Guardian Works is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the public from harm. What it is is as follows: Guardian Works at Echo Street West is a 19-acre development on the Atlanta BeltLine's Westside Trail that is operated by Novare Events and is home to a variety of events. Condos, a hotel, offices, and other amenities are also available on the property. It has a rustic feel to it, but it also has high-end amenities. This mixed-use development has it all, which is why we love it! The Guardian Works event space, with its renovated brick-and-beam structure and double-height interior, is also a hit with attendees. The 1908 building, which has 8,000 square feet of interior space, also has 4,000 square feet of covered patio space and a 10,000-square-foot courtyard, among other amenities. It's not difficult to see that the possibilities for events are virtually limitless. The number of guests who will be accommodated is: Guardian Works at Echo Street West has a capacity of up to 1,200 guests and offers a variety of different space options. Bishop Station is a station in the city of Bishop, in the province of Durham. What it is: Bishop Station is a new venue operated by Novare Events that opened its doors recently. It is centrally located in Midtown, making it accessible to many parts of the city while remaining away from major thoroughfares, giving it a sense of seclusion. Built in the 1920s as a Gulf Oil Company building, it features original design elements that have been updated with modern amenities. What we like about it: The combination of the old and the new in this industrial space is a visual treat to behold. Antique brick walls enclose a 3,600-square-foot main event space that includes hardwood chevron flooring, a curved pine ceiling, and eye-catching iron chandeliers, among other amenities. During the day, the venue's massive windows along the perimeter let in plenty of natural light, while in the evening, the venue provides spectacular views of Midtown and Downtown Atlanta's skylines. It is possible to double the square footage of event space by adding two additional levels. Additional features include a furnished lounge, a built-in bar, and a spacious outdoor courtyard. Bishop Station can accommodate up to 300 guests in its interior space of 7,200 square feet and a generous outdoor courtyard.

  • Featured photo from Miller Union

    Miller Union

999 Brady Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA
    • Spaces for 40-60 Guests
    • 1 Restaurant

Miller Union is named after the former Miller Union Stockyards that occupied one full city block in Atlanta’s old meatpacking district in the 1880s. The stockyard building suffered a fire after the turn of the century and was later replaced with an industrial warehouse, typical of the time period. Miller Union, the restaurant, was founded in 2009 by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy in the refurbished warehouse that sits on the former site and has since contributed to the evolution of the neighborhood. They created a rustic, yet modern atmosphere with a respect for the history of the neighborhood, and an anchor for the emerging one. Miller Union has since become an Atlanta mainstay. Satterfield cooks in an organic way by reacting to the ever-changing harvest of the seasons. The restaurant embodies an authentic approach to farmstead-inspired cooking, in which ingredients drive the menu. Satterfield’s style is simple, but creative and refined, with a lean on Southern history. McCarthy’s acclaimed wine program complements the style of Satterfield’s cooking with a dynamic wine list that focuses on small producers with sustainable farming practices.
