Cooks & Soldiers draws its inspiration from the people and the cuisine of the Basque Country in Spain and France. The Spanish call it Pais Vasco; the Basque say Euskal Herria. Regardless of nomenclature, it stands for thousands of years of fierce independence, cultural autonomy, and unrivaled cuisine. Pintxos are the Basque answer to tapas. From the word for “thorn,” a Pintxo is traditionally served on bread, pierced with a toothpick. Pintxo Bars represent the casual, convivial aspect of Basque dining, where guests order for the table over a glass of Txakoli (crisp, slightly bubbly Basque wine) or tart Basque cider. Pintxo Bars are loud, vibrant and celebrate the joy of companionship and conversation over the formality of coursed dining. Cooks & Soldiers seeks to recreate this environment with our Pintxos Tradicionales, served on toast, and our Pintxos Especiales, composed expressions from our chefs. ABOUT In 1926, Eisler Nurseries was established by John Eisler, who was responsible for the creation of the Atrium. In the following three generations, the company grew and thrived, and in 1984 John's granddaughter, Sherry, took over the reins of the family enterprise. She was looking to expand her business in new directions when she realized that the greenhouse and horticulture center could provide a unique environment for special events and occasions. The Atrium was the name given to the new life that began in 2002. An event at The Atrium is unlike any other. Whether it is held in one of our greenhouses, the outdoor gazebo and gardens, or the main hall, it is absolutely unique. It goes without saying that the unique surroundings are only a part of what makes an event at the venue stand out. The Atrium's compassionate and creative personnel, a comprehensive choice of services and menu options, and the ability to work within a variety of budgets all combine to make it the location where events thrive. Cocktails or little displays look fantastic in this atmosphere. Capacity is 100 people standing. A greenhouse with a floor area of 3,000 square feet. The most common application is for indoor wedding ceremonies. Capacity: 280 people seated and 300 people standing. The Main Hall is a 5,000-square-foot space that can accommodate both social and corporate functions. The room is equipped with audio-visual equipment and Wi-Fi. Capacity: 300 people sat at round tables; 100 people in a classroom setting; 325 people seated auditorium style (no tables); 400 people standing. In the Gardens, there is a wide patio, a garden, and a gazebo, which is an outdoor place. This is a popular venue for outdoor wedding receptions and ceremonies. Since 1839, Primrose Cottage, with its attractive but misleading name, has delighted visitors with its presence in charming, historic Roswell. Roswell King built the house for his daughter with love. The wedding site is huge, yet it has a very private feel to it, making it ideal for a spring or summer wedding. The three-story residence and ballroom are hidden from view from the exterior, nestled on the edge of a majestic front lawn. Primrose Cottage has hidden lovely grounds that entice visitors on a journey of discovery. The vistas from the glass-encased Overlook Ballroom within the historic wedding venue in Roswell, Georgia, never disappoint. The natural splendor of the surroundings is magnificent in any season.
