LaVera Party Center has hosted weddings and celebrations in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, since 1952, when Larry and Vera Gaudio founded the business on homemade Italian cooking. Three generations later, the kitchen still follows those original family recipes, and the venue pairs that culinary heritage with two banquet rooms built for events of different scales. The Tuscan Room seats up to 350 guests beneath imported chandeliers and ornate architecture, suited to galas and larger wedding receptions, while the newly renovated Crystal Room seats up to 240 beneath crystal chandeliers and vaulted ceilings for a more intimate reception. Both rooms were recently remodeled with Chiavari chairs, and the venue can accommodate up to 720 guests across its full facility. Every banquet room rental includes five and a half hours of event time, table linens, lantern centerpieces, a champagne toast for the bridal party, a video projector and screen, complimentary WiFi, bar service, and a dedicated event manager to coordinate the day. The Grand Pacific Hotel, a renovated reception and banquet hall constructed between 1830 and 1840, offers a glimpse into the splendor of the 1800s. The building's first owner, Thomas Brown, gave it the opulent moniker "The Grand Pacific Hotel." It is thought to be the township of Olmsted Falls's oldest remaining business building. It was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in the middle of the 1970s, and our founder Clint Williams finally bought and refurbished it in 1989 to serve as the centerpiece of Grand Pacific Junction and our primary banquet venue. Selected by Lake Metroparks as the exclusive caterer at Pine Ridge Country Club in the spring of 1998, the Tibaldi family operation has guided countless weddings, receptions, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations through a setting shaped by hand-carved wood beams, balconies, and grand architectural detail. The second-floor Ballroom is the centerpiece — reached by a winding staircase and featuring large windows, balconies, and a central dance floor suited to ceremony and reception alike. The Tibaldi family has operated Dino's Restaurants in the region for nearly 60 years, establishing its catering division in the early 1980s to serve larger gatherings. In 2014, Dino's became the exclusive caterer at Manakiki, pairing that culinary heritage with the grandeur of the historic Hanna Mansion and its golf course surroundings. The venue offers several distinct event spaces suited to gatherings of varying sizes. The Manakiki Ballroom features hardwood flooring and large windows on both sides, with an adjacent foyer and a walkout terrace overlooking the golf course. The Hanna Grill showcases stone floors, rich wood-paneled walls, and a built-in bar with access to the covered courtyard. The Hanna Room accommodates smaller gatherings of up to 70 guests with covered courtyard access. Outdoors, The Grove provides a secluded ceremony setting among the trees, available standalone or paired with a reception. The Orchid Room sits inside Miller Nature Preserve's Conservatory, a 5,000-square-foot indoor botanical space in Avon and the first conservatory built in Lorain County. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the preserve's gardens, ponds, and walking trails, and the room's orchid collection includes specimens donated in part by Dr. Ibrahim Eren of Lorain. The space accommodates up to 78 guests and includes a demonstration kitchen, making it suited to corporate events, holiday parties, and private celebrations. Daytime rentals include admission to the Conservatory for all guests, while evening events add private use of the outdoor patio. Renters may bring their own personal caterer, and indoor tables and chairs are included with the rental. Beyond the Orchid Room, Miller Nature Preserve spans 145 acres and includes the Avon Wetlands and Upper French Creek Wetlands trail systems, along with a seasonal Butterfly House and Orchid Café.

The Inn at Brandywine Falls is a historic Greek Revival home built in 1848, listed on the National Register of Historic Homes. It sits within Cuyahoga Valley National Park, just steps from Brandywine Falls, surrounded by the park's woods and trails. The property offers six guest suites across the original farmhouse and a renovated carriage barn, each with a private bath and its own historic character, along with a full breakfast each morning. Beyond overnight stays, the Inn hosts small gatherings such as private meetings, overnight retreats, elopements, family and friend reunions, and afternoon teas, with space for up to 22 guests. New innkeepers took over the property in April 2023, continuing its role as a quiet, historic retreat inside the national park after 36 years under previous ownership.

Bessie Benner Metzenbaum Park is a natural park managed by the Geauga Park District in Chester Township, Geauga County, Ohio. The park preserves a rich mosaic of habitats — mature beech-maple woodlands, conifer plantations, a 140-foot sandstone knoll, wetland areas fed by Griswold Creek, and the remnants of an abandoned orchard — that together attract a wide variety of wildlife throughout the seasons. Three trails wind through the park, totaling 1.15 miles, including two paved accessible pathways and one primitive trail suited to more adventurous visitors. For outdoor gatherings, the park offers the Wisteria Hill Shelter, an open-air pavilion set within the woodland landscape. The shelter accommodates up to 75 guests and is equipped with picnic tables, electrical outlets, and a grill, with reservations available through the Geauga Park District.

Post-and-beam construction and massive gambrel-style vaulted ceilings give the 7,250-square-foot space its blend of rustic character and country sophistication, while large windows fill the interior with natural light and frame orchard views in every direction, with panoramic 60-mile views of the Northeast Ohio countryside beyond. The Barn accommodates celebrations from intimate gatherings of 100 to grand receptions of up to 300 guests indoors, expanding to 500 when the covered porch and outdoor spaces come into play. The porch overlooking the valley is a natural fit for cocktail hours and sunset toasts, and events are supported by on-site farm-to-table catering and a dedicated event coordinator from planning through the day itself. Across 6,000 square feet, The Lodge holds up to 220 guests for wedding receptions, showers, and other private celebrations, with a 900-square-foot hardwood dance floor at its center. Orchard Hills Park is a 237-acre Geauga Park District park in Chester Township, Ohio, set on land that operated as a golf course until 2007 and is now being restored to a mature beech-maple forest ecosystem with headwater streams and wetlands feeding the Chagrin River. Six trails totaling 3.6 miles wind past fields, ponds, and apple trees, and the grounds include an orchard-themed playground and a sledding hill for winter visits, making a naturally scenic backdrop for an outdoor gathering. The park offers two reservable event facilities. Orchard Hills Lodge pairs an enclosed section with an open-air area, welcoming up to 48 guests with picnic tables inside and out, electrical outlets, seasonal heat, a charcoal grill, and an outdoor fireplace. For smaller get-togethers, Pondside Shelter hosts up to 30 guests beside the water, reached by a short paved trail, with picnic tables, electrical outlets, a fireplace, and a grill. Facilities can be reserved from 8:30 AM to 11 PM, at least seven days in advance, online, by phone, or in person.
