The Surrey House is a big historic residence that was constructed around 1910. It has withstood a century of tornadoes, fires, and other natural calamities to become one of the most well-known wedding venues in the North Dallas community. A complete renovation of the facility was carried out in 1998, and a partial renovation was carried out in 2011. Just a few blocks south of the old town center and the magnificently renovated county courthouse, you'll find this stunning residence in McKinney's historic area. Behind the main home is a big deck that overlooks the rear yard and a wedding gazebo that was expressly created for the occasion. Ed developed and built Winding Brooks as a labor of love. He was motivated to develop these lovely gardens by his love of plants, flowers, the land, and wildlife. Water elements with flowing streams softly fall to a huge water pond are part of the park-like setting. The gardens have a variety of natural rock and boulders, water plants, numerous plant and flower species, two pergola spaces for outdoor ceremonies, and interestingly shaped trees for everyone to enjoy. This breathtaking scenery serves as the backdrop for a 5,000-square-foot banquet hall that can accommodate up to 250 guests and includes very large bridal and groom rooms!
