Color Factory is a collaborative interactive exhibit that debuted in San Francisco in August 2017. What was intended as a month-long run unexpectedly flourished as a celebration of color and creativity that lasted for another eight sold-out months. In August 2018, a whole new palette came to New York City in SoHo’s Hudson Square neighborhood. In 20,000 square feet, we feature brand-new participatory installations of colors we’ve collected around the city— hues that invite curiosity, discovery and play. Some of our favorite artists, creatives, designers and makers are teaming up with us to tell their unique color stories and engage all of your senses in unexpected ways. We hope that the palette and projects offered within Color Factory will connect you to the colorful moments around New York and in your own daily life.

Located at 123 Kingston Avenue in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, Meat’s architecture and design reflect both the neighborhood’s storied past and exciting future. Sharing a corner with the famous Kingston Lounge, the restaurant’s muted, taupe detailing complements the foundational walls of an archetypal Brooklyn brownstone. Immediately inside, an elegantly contemporary bar and lounge seating area is enclosed by tasteful marble tiling. Meat’s main seating area includes armchair and banquette seating, and large windows to enjoy Brooklyn’s unique scenery. Above, the ceiling’s angular, wood panels invite the observer forward into a final seating area. This private dining room juxtaposes an exposed brick accent wall with living ivy and a modern glass ceiling that draws in historic Brooklyn. Both dining areas eschew conventional design, instead featuring marble and walnut tabletops, hand-crafted stone dishes, and radiant brass lighting; a relaxing twist on traditional fine dining. Classic and contemporary continue to meet in the downstairs kitchen, where a state-of-the-art cooking facility neighbors a vintage meat curing and aging room and subway tiled walls, another ode to New York’s rich history. In form and function, Meat propels Crown Heights forward, while celebrating its vibrant times past.

The Crown, located on the 21st floor of Hotel 50 Bowery, is a rooftop bar operated by hospitality leader Gerber Group. Guests can enjoy the Gerber Group’s classic and seasonal cocktails and elevated bar fare, while taking in the amazing unobstructed views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines, either indoors or outdoors. The Crown’s beverage menu features a rotating selection of Gerber Group’s classic and seasonal cocktails alongside an expansive collection of small-batch spirits, regionally brewed craft beers, and universal wine offerings. Elevated globally inspired small bites including Pan Fried Chicken Dumplings, Vegetable Spring Rolls and Pastrami Steamed Buns complement the bar.

This Indian restaurant channels the rich tapestry of the sights and sounds of Goa and offers a menu with modern, often playful and interactive takes on Indian cooking. The stunning tri-level space stimulates the senses with vibrant pops of color, wall projections, custom designed lighting and art installations. Our main floor boasts of 2500 sqft space and the mezzanine covers 1000 sqft. We also recently debuted a 1,500-square-foot private dining room. The menu boasts shareable plates, an array of curries, fritters, and specialty bread is on offer.

Hawksmoor was inspired by childhood memories of how good steak could taste. Founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott (friends since they were 11) opened the first Hawksmoor restaurant on London’s Commercial Street in 2006. More restaurants in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, New York, Liverpool and Dublin followed. Our menus revolve around using the best ingredients we can find and cooking them as simply as possible – whether it be beef from grass-fed cattle, sustainable seafood from around the local coast, seasonal fruits and vegetables or local cheeses combined with great wines and interesting cocktails all served by people who love what they do.
