The Altman Building is proud to celebrate over 22 years of providing event services at our landmark historic venue. Established in 1896 as the carriage house for the B. Altman department store, The Altman Building is now a versatile private event venue, boasting 14,000 square feet over two floors. Our venue entrance is ground level and virtually column-free, providing unparalleled flexibility in event production. Our original mahogany French doors connect directly to the street to allow for seamless ground-level load in and welcome visitors and guests into an expansive piece of New York history. With custom hardwood floors, exposed vaulted brick ceilings, and an expanse of windows that lend an endless cascade of natural light, The Altman Building is an elegant, memorable and exciting venue to host your next event. The full venue can host up to 170 guests, with the ground floor available for 80–100 and the cellar perfect for 40–70. The space features a recording-studio–inspired bar and lounge, along with three private soundproof karaoke rooms for added fun. A professional AV system, large LED displays, a fully equipped bar, a spacious commercial kitchen. There’s also a coat check, and five bathrooms, including one ADA-accessible.

A Wedding at Deity is housed in a non-traditional and affordable venue located in Downtown Brooklyn. This unique setting is designed, owned and operated by a married pair. In fact, the first Deity Wedding was the marriage of it’s creators in 2007. Our romantic space provides full-service access for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner followed by a reception with DJ. Price per person is $150-$200 per person, for EVERYTHING except photographer, cake and officiant. The unique venue have been featured in over a dozen magazines and have been Winners of The Knot “Best of” Weddings 2018! The Jazz Gallery offers a unique space for private events, recordings, rehearsals, business meetings, photo/film shoots, concerts, conferences, seminars, classes, weddings, receptions, celebrations, and functions of all kinds looking to distinguish themselves from the usual offerings. The performance space (1160 Broadway, entrance on Broadway) houses the stage and all performance amenities, a small office, and rest room area. The lounge (1158 Broadway, entrance on 27th street) includes an open lounge area, a large green room/office space, a bar, a refrigerator, and two restrooms (one being ADA-compliant). The Jazz Gallery is located in New York’s historic & bustling NoMad neighborhood; the Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park to our south, and the Empire State Building is a few blocks to the north. Nestled in between these two iconic buildings are old merchant stores, exclusive boutiques, and many restaurants and hotels. The Jazz Gallery is located at 1158 & 1160 Broadway, 5th floor. It can be reached by the N and R trains to 28th Street and is also a short walk from the 6 and the 1 at 28th Street and numerous other trains.

Once here, your private party will be transported into the back bar, with a lovely, low-ceiling, mirrored foyer for eight (3 stools), five banquettes to seat up to twenty-two, and nine bar stools. Behind another hidden archway, The Lab at Patent Pending awaits with a large booth for ten, another booth for twelve, a dance floor and five bar seats. Food will be served in the cafe up front, and the entire space both front and back can be yours. For groups of 12 or more, The Lab can be yours either privately or shared.
