Hearsay Market Square occupies one of Houston's oldest buildings, a beautifully preserved 19th-century structure in the heart of downtown's Market Square district, steps from Market Square Park and the city's historic landmarks. The restaurant and lounge pairs its antique architecture and chandelier-lit interiors with a menu of elevated American cuisine and expertly crafted cocktails, serving lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and happy hour. The historic setting lends itself to a range of private gatherings, from business and corporate events to wedding rehearsal dinners, upscale cocktail receptions, and other private celebrations. Hearsay Market Square's own team notes it offers "a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of downtown," suited equally to a power lunch, a milestone celebration, or an evening of cocktails among Houston's historic architecture.

The Historic Magnolia Ballroom occupies a converted 1890s brewery building at 715 Franklin Street in downtown Houston, originally home to the Houston Ice & Brewing Company. The property today hosts wedding receptions, corporate events, galas, quinceaneras, and other private celebrations, alongside its regular calendar of live music and dancing nights. Guests find an open dance floor beneath the building's historic ceiling, a full-service bar, and an on-site museum preserving artifacts from the brewery's history. Private event inquiries can be booked directly through the venue's team.

Mama La is the secret ingredient in each of our Kim Son Restaurants, and she can be found in every location. Kim Su Tran La was born in Vietnam, and she, her husband, and their seven children fled to Houston in 1980, fleeing the communist regime that had taken over their country at the time. Mother-in-law Mama La was able to memorize more than 250 recipes before opening the first KIM SON Restaurant, thanks to her extensive knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine, which she received from her in-laws. In a short period of time, her food amassed a large following of thousands of followers, as well as the admiration and loyalty of many of Vietnam's top restaurant cities. The first KIM SON store was located in Vinh Long, but it was eventually closed as a result of the communist takeover of the country in 1975. KIM SON has been recognized by a number of prestigious publications, including Bon Appétit, Esquire, and Food & Wine, and has been named "Best Vietnamese Restaurant" in Houston on an annual basis by the Houston Press. Currently, Mama La's culinary skills have allowed her restaurant group to expand to include four full-service restaurants, three banquet facilities, and four food court outlets throughout the greater Houston region. With five unique spaces to host your event, the Bayou City Event Center is Houston's largest privately owned event venue and the largest in the state of Texas. It is possible to accommodate up to 2,500 people in theater-style seating and up to 1,500 guests in an attractive banquet setting in our enormous indoor Grand Ballroom. The Cypress, Magnolia A, and Magnolia B Ballrooms are the three usable spaces within these ballrooms, which are likewise divided into three sections. We also have a smaller Lakeview Ballroom with a stunning visual experience that is perfect for smaller gatherings. Get some fresh air on our Patio, which is the newest addition to the building, or organize an outside event in our covered Pavilion. The Lotus Room is a small private dining room at the back of the lounge, with wrought-iron French doors leading to it. The room pays respect to Vietnam's emblem flower with seating for up to 18 guests and is highlighted by Jonas Wickman artwork in soothing tropical tones. On request, Culinary Director Nicole Routhier and Executive Chef Hassan Obaye will construct exclusive tasting meals with wine pairings. Le Colonial, nestled in the center of one of America's largest and most varied cities, is a celebration of the seductive spirit and vibrant flavors of 1920s French Colonial Southeast Asia. In a luxury escapist hideaway in The River Oaks District, famous restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King deliver on exceptional attention to detail in a bygone period of refinement and opulence. A luxurious downstairs dining area is bordered by a Parisian-style sidewalk café seating, which is embellished with period photos, overhead fans, and leather banquettes. A dramatic stairwell leads to a second-floor lounge with a huge bar, mahogany millwork, and soft seating, ideal for cocktails and light cuisine. The west veranda is surrounded by custom louvered shutters, while an extra terrace on the north side is totally enclosed and has additional dining tables. The Lotus Room, which seats up to 14 for private meals and wine tastings led by our on-site Sommelier, is centered by a mural made by Swedish muralist Jonas Wickman in warm tropical tones. Nicole Routhier and Hassan Obaye, the Executive Chef Team, have reinterpreted regional culinary traditions and incorporated contemporary touches to create a menu that perfectly blends classic Vietnamese comfort dishes with exquisite French-Asian fusions.

Seven working kitchens support chef-led experiences with one coordinated team and one proposal. The venue accommodates up to 75 seated guests or 125 standing.
