Located on East 5th Street in East Austin, the Pershing House, Hall, and Café reflect Austin’s relaxed spirit and modern ambition with a venue that is “Texas, European, and a little bit rock and roll”. Once home to the Austin Lumber Company, the Pershing offers three distinct event spaces: the Pershing Hall, which retains the character of the original lumber mill, while the adjoining House (now the Pershing Membership Club) is an intimate 1930s two-story bungalow, and the Michael-Hsu designed Pershing East Café for a light-filled front porch to East Austin. Soli Deo Gloria is a Latin phrase that means “Glory to God Alone.” This name was carefully chosen to represent our lovely North Texas wedding venue. We desire to glorify God in all we do. Set on 25 lushly wooded acres, this gorgeous, family-owned venue offers a serene setting for your celebration. A cozy, two-bedroom cabin, hidden away from the rest of the property, is the perfect place for wedding party prep. The Chapel, which was meticulously re-crafted from the wood of a 1908 church, is nestled among towering oak, cedar elm, bois d’arc and cedar trees. Bright windows flood the space with light and bring the outside in, illuminating the whitewashed wood interior and lofted ceiling. The Party Hall echoes the Chapel’s airy vibes, with its reclaimed wood construction, walls of windows, and crisp white exterior.
