The Wheeler House is a historic wedding venue set on a restored 1906 property in Ball Ground, Georgia. The original home — built by a local lumber yard owner using heart pine flooring and wraparound porches — was purchased and fully renovated before reopening as a wedding venue in 2011. A climate-controlled barn was added in 2012, its exterior clad in reclaimed lumber salvaged from the old Panama City pier and airport runway, giving the space a distinctly storied character. The venue accommodates events from intimate micro-weddings to celebrations of up to 300 guests. The 3,600-square-foot barn serves as the primary ceremony or reception space, while a draped outdoor arbor hung with chandeliers and string lights offers an open-air ceremony option. The historic house provides a bridal suite with an original claw-foot tub, a groom's suite, and a billiards room. Onsite cottage accommodations are available for overnight guests. Receptions follow in and around the elegant Burge Conservatory — a 1,800-square-foot space with an adjoining covered terrace, both of which can be heated or cooled for year-round comfort.
