Flushing Town Hall is an 1862 landmark in the heart of Flushing, Queens, managed by the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts on behalf of the City of New York. Following a nine-year, $8 million restoration completed in 1999, the building was transformed from an abandoned structure into a thriving arts center and event venue. It holds Smithsonian Affiliate status and membership in New York City's Cultural Institutions Group. Three distinct rental spaces serve a wide range of private events: a theater accommodating up to 190 guests for galas, receptions, and performances; a 1,500-square-foot gallery suited for intimate gatherings of up to 100; and a 2,000-square-foot outdoor garden with tree-shaded lawns for up to 150 guests. Event coordinators support the planning process and provide a curated vendor list for catering, florals, and décor.

The kitchen maintains strict standards in beef preparation: USDA Prime cuts are dry-aged and hand-butchered in-house in a dedicated aging facility held at 36 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately four weeks, with between 7 and 12 tons of beef aging at any given time. Union Square has been a gathering area for about 170 years—for trade, entertainment, labor and political rallies, and relaxation. The park gets its name from its location at the crossroads of two important New York City thoroughfares, Bloomingdale Road (now Broadway) and Bowery Road (now Fourth Avenue). Union Square first opened to the public on July 19, 1839. Its paths, which wind through lushly landscaped lawns, were inspired by London's affluent residential squares. The design concentrated on a big central fountain, which was constructed for the completion of the Croton Aqueduct in 1842, and accentuated the park's oval shape (contained by an iron picket fence). Union Square became a significant commercial and residential area as New York City's downtown extended northward. Two days before your event, you must do a final count of attendees. The total cost will be increased by the amount of New York State sales tax, 20 percent gratuity, and a 5 percent planning charge. To avoid a 10% cleaning cost, please book additional time for decorating and remove all decorations at the end of your planned period in order to avoid a 10% cleaning fee.
