This Indian restaurant channels the rich tapestry of the sights and sounds of Goa and offers a menu with modern, often playful and interactive takes on Indian cooking. The stunning tri-level space stimulates the senses with vibrant pops of color, wall projections, custom designed lighting and art installations. Our main floor boasts of 2500 sqft space and the mezzanine covers 1000 sqft. We also recently debuted a 1,500-square-foot private dining room. The menu boasts shareable plates, an array of curries, fritters, and specialty bread is on offer.

An Unrivaled Setting for Private Events Cipriani South Street at the Battery Maritime Building is the new home to New York’s most exciting and important gatherings. The renaissance of this magnificent architectural treasure was led by the internationally acclaimed design house of Thierry Despont, whose other well-known historical restoration projects include the Ritz Hotel in Paris, the Statue of Liberty, the Carlyle Hotel and the Woolworth Building in New York City among others. An abundance of unique details have been beautifully preserved throughout the building including the expansive patterned glass ceiling in the Great Hall, the Guastavino tile arches of the loggia, hundreds of mullioned glass windows, and exposed period ironwork. The second floor events complex includes a private arrival foyer and grand staircase, two separate pre-function rooms, and the 9,000 square foot Great Hall which accommodates up to 800 seated guests. Windowed pre-function spaces filled with natural light offer separate spaces for cocktails, ceremonies and breakout meetings, including a rare outdoor loggia spanning the full length of the building facade. Two private green rooms, each with panoramic views of the East River, complete the scene.

Located at 123 Kingston Avenue in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, Meat’s architecture and design reflect both the neighborhood’s storied past and exciting future. Sharing a corner with the famous Kingston Lounge, the restaurant’s muted, taupe detailing complements the foundational walls of an archetypal Brooklyn brownstone. Immediately inside, an elegantly contemporary bar and lounge seating area is enclosed by tasteful marble tiling. Meat’s main seating area includes armchair and banquette seating, and large windows to enjoy Brooklyn’s unique scenery. Above, the ceiling’s angular, wood panels invite the observer forward into a final seating area. This private dining room juxtaposes an exposed brick accent wall with living ivy and a modern glass ceiling that draws in historic Brooklyn. Both dining areas eschew conventional design, instead featuring marble and walnut tabletops, hand-crafted stone dishes, and radiant brass lighting; a relaxing twist on traditional fine dining. Classic and contemporary continue to meet in the downstairs kitchen, where a state-of-the-art cooking facility neighbors a vintage meat curing and aging room and subway tiled walls, another ode to New York’s rich history. In form and function, Meat propels Crown Heights forward, while celebrating its vibrant times past.

Today, after a two year renovation and restoration effort by Culturespaces, Hall des Lumières not only preserves its architectural heritage, such as the marble bank tellers’ windows and interior, but also seamlessly integrates state-of-the-art technology for an unparalleled immersive experience. The venue is a multi-sensory experience, powered by video canvases that reflect onto the walls and floors, 130 video projectors, 54 speakers, and 22 subwoofers. Hall des Lumières totals 30,000 square feet over two levels featuring 40-foot-high ceilings and custom 100+-year-old lay lights. The venue has three separate exhibition areas: the ground floor (Historical), the lower level (Modern), & the former bank vault (Intimate). SPACE: The Main Gallery space overlooking historic Walker Street is a clean slate allowing for a variety of uses, specifically private dinners, cocktail receptions, talks, presentations, and exhibitions. The Rear Gallery, which houses an extensive library of art books and lounge seating, allows for an extension of the Main Gallery, or for a separate gathering space that provides staging, back of house, or a meeting area. GALLERY: Celebrating the blurred line between art and design, and the ever-evolving culture of craft, TIWA Select is a platform and gallery space engaging with artists and makers who share an affinity for the unexpectedness of the handmade.
