Perched on a bluff above the Colorado River in Bastrop, Texas, The Mansion at ColoVista is a destination wedding venue about 25 minutes from Austin's airport. The 17,000-square-foot estate sits on a golf course property, giving couples river views and sunset backdrops for ceremonies and portraits. The mansion's interior seats up to 250 to 275 guests for a peak dinner reception, with additional outdoor dinner seating available to expand guest counts further. Wedding packages include venue time ranging from several hours up to 13 or more consecutive hours, in-house sound equipment with a wireless microphone, up-lighting for the dance floor, and access to a decor closet stocked with lanterns, candles, and easels. Couples can choose from traveling, stationary, or simultaneous bar service, moving between the estate's upstairs and downstairs levels to suit their event flow. Twenty-two on-site cottages give couples and their guests a place to stay for the wedding weekend, with some packages including a complimentary one-night cottage stay for newlyweds. As a result of our desire to be closer to our children and grandkids, we closed the doors of our long-standing San Antonio-based business, Steve Heflin Architect/Builder (www.steveheflinhomes.com), and relocated to the Ft Worth region in 2011. The idea of a commercial venture that would bring together our talents in design, construction, décor, and hospitality sparked our imaginations, and we began daydreaming and planning for it. Our 35 years of marriage, combined with a sprinkling of supernatural guidance, may have prompted the notion of developing a wedding/event venue that was distinct in both style and beauty for our clients. We discovered a 21-acre farm just outside of historic Weatherford, TX, while searching the Fort Worth countryside. Beautiful trees, natural springs, and pasture area are all part of this estate, which has been in the family for 115 years. We began collecting architectural elements such as 300+ year old doors, gables, mirrors, tables, rustic wagons, gates, and benches from Texas and Santa Fe, using the same expertise and attention to detail Steve used in designing beautiful custom homes. These elements will be used in both a Country Chapel and an Event Center, which will be completed in 2018. This is where the journey begins! Construction began when the land was purchased, the move was completed, the designs were drafted, and the road was built. The Brooks at Weatherford, a new community in Weatherford, is taking shape one step at a time. Even as we cherish the opportunity to be near to our children and grandchildren, we are reminded and assured that marriage is worth the effort of remaining together and, more importantly, worth celebrating. Not only do we intend to provide a lovely setting for celebrations, but also a location where people want to hang out and enjoy themselves. Designed by architect Charles Page and built in 1934 by workers of the Civil Works Administration, the Zilker Clubhouse is a one-story limestone structure set on the highest point within Zilker Metropolitan Park, a National Register Historic District overlooking downtown Austin and Lady Bird Lake. The building and its surrounding 30 acres were originally used by the Boy Scouts for meetings and activities, and the clubhouse retains ornamental ironwork, including door handles, hinges, and lanterns, original to its construction. The site hosts weddings, private parties, meetings, and corporate or non-profit group retreats for up to 100 guests. Its 1,296-square-foot interior opens onto a 1,980-square-foot rock patio and concrete terrace, where the sweeping skyline view serves as a backdrop for small gatherings. Two wood-burning fireplaces warm the interior, and without central air conditioning, the elevated, breezy terrace helps keep guests comfortable on warm Austin nights. A ramp connects the building and terrace to the on-site parking area.

Bellavita Farms, owned by Joel and Julie Rogers, is a genuine working ranch with 80 acres of Bermuda grass hay, Texas native pecans, and Arabian horse breeding. Joel Rogers, a USMC veteran who served in the mid-80s in Hawaii, Japan, and on the DMZ in South Korea, is originally from Oklahoma. He has worked as a firefighter for the City of Fort Worth for the past 30 years after being honorably retired from the military in 1986. Julie Rogers, a native of California, spent her early years in the business world, including several years with The Walt Disney Company, where she planned and handled a variety of large-scale corporate special events, parties, and offsite meetings. Julie is also a talented photographer and flower designer with over 25 years of experience breeding Arabian show horses. On the day of your event, the venue rental is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (14 hours). 45 - 6' rectangular tables and 250 white outdoor chairs are provided. The Pavilions at Rockport Beach sit along Rockport Beach on Aransas Bay in Rockport, Texas — home turf recognized as Texas' first Blue Wave Beach. The Saltwater Pavilion is the largest of the four, a glass-fronted, climate-controlled meeting, reception, and ceremony room that seats up to 200 guests and overlooks the Saltwater Lagoon, Key Allegro, and the Connie Hagar Wildlife Sanctuary. It includes a private open-air veranda and a catering kitchen, making it a strong fit for weddings and larger receptions. The smaller Beachfront Pavilion sits directly on the sand facing Aransas Bay and holds up to 85 guests, well suited to more intimate beachfront ceremonies. Earlier this spring, Old Bison Ranch completed an expansion that included a big Celebration Hall with a capacity of six thousand square feet that was heated and cooled. However, you will not have the impression that you are in a building. With views of the pecan orchard and Old Bison Lake from every room, the Hall is a sight to see. A pergola and a wraparound deck have been constructed to the backyard to increase the size of the outdoor entertaining space. There's more to it than that. We've constructed a beautiful bridal cottage with a view of the ceremony area.. A unique event location located in Forreston, Texas and tucked among six hundred acres of woodland splendor, Old Bison Ranch is a one-of-a-kind venue. A large number of mature trees and lovely green meadows may be seen here. The beautiful ceremony spot is placed beneath a mature tall pecan tree with a meandering pond as a backdrop, creating an idyllic setting. There are 6,000 square feet of interior rustic elegance, 3,000 square feet of wraparound outdoor decking, and separate, equipped cottages for the bride and groom to prepare for their wedding day. Our wedding site is small enough to host a small gathering of your closest friends and family, but large enough to accommodate up to 150 people in comfortable comfort. The Secret Garden wedding location, which is situated on half an acre of land and is linked to a beautifully maintained nursery, is guaranteed to wow. The pebble walks lead to stone walls, archways, and even a little bridge over a water feature, all of which are surrounded by lush flora throughout the year. The Garden comes to life at night with the glimmer of lights hanging from all of the giant trees and the many chandeliers throughout the space. You and your friends can have a good time on our outdoor dance floor while enjoying the night sky above. There is a separate location for both the Bride and the Groom to prepare for their big day in the main house, which is fully equipped. Everyone can do their makeup in the Bridal Suite, which offers an en suite bathroom and space for everyone to do so, while the Grooms Cave has a pool table for fun. There is also a full kitchen for all of your food preparation needs, as well as two additional restrooms.
