The tent has some rudimentary lighting and a flooring made of artificial turf installed in it. However, if you rent the space, you can easily add additional lighting and decorations. Catskill View Weddings & Events occupies Thor Icelandics, LLC., a working Icelandic horse farm in Claverack, New York — in the heart of Columbia County's Hudson Valley, two hours north of New York City and ten minutes from the city of Hudson. The farm is home to more than 50 Icelandic horses and is recognized as the only Icelandic horse farm in North America that operates as a wedding and event venue. Three distinct outdoor spaces — The Hill, the Upper Track, and the Lower Track — each accommodate up to 300 guests. The Hill commands a full 360-degree, unobstructed view of the Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountain range, with the sun setting directly over the mountains to the west; it is the venue's signature setting. The Upper Track, nestled in the heart of the farm and enclosed by woods on most sides, offers a more private atmosphere with exceptional acoustics. The Lower Track, located near the barnyard entrance, positions guests among active horse fields with the property's large barn visible in the near distance. The venue operates seasonally from late April through early November and hosts a limited number of events per year to preserve the farm's character. All outdoor amenities — tents, seating, catering, and utilities — are brought in through outside vendors, allowing each event to be fully customized within a landscape that is distinctly its own.

The Fern Lodge is a boutique waterfront inn set on 70 acres of wooded land bordering Friends Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Located in Chestertown roughly an hour and fifteen minutes north of Albany, the property offers five intimate guest rooms — each with a king-size bed, stone fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, and lake or mountain views — within a Great Room anchored by vaulted log ceilings and a central stone fireplace. For events, the lodge specializes in elopements, petit weddings, vow renewals, and honeymoons for parties of 2 to 20 guests. Ceremonies take shape in several lakeside and indoor settings: the lakeside gardens, the screened-in porch with fireplace, the boathouse deck, and the Great Room itself. Elopement packages include a local officiant, bridal bouquet and boutonnière, a boutique wedding cake, sparkling wine, and a full multi-course breakfast for all guests. Full property rental is available, and the lodge welcomes LGBTQ+ couples and celebrations.

Chesterwood is the former summer estate of sculptor Daniel Chester French — creator of the Lincoln Memorial's seated Abraham Lincoln and Concord's Minute Man — preserved by the National Trust for Historic Preservation on 122 wooded acres in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The property is an entirely outdoor venue, offering ceremony, cocktail, and reception settings across formal perennial gardens and sweeping lawns with panoramic views of Monument Mountain. During cocktail hour, guests are invited into French's working studio and onto its broad porch, a rare encounter with one of American sculpture's most significant sites. Chesterwood is currently booking private events for 2026 and 2027. Events typically begin at 5pm when the property closes to day visitors, allowing the estate to transition into an exclusive private setting for the evening.

The Hill at Wright's Farm is situated on a 450-acre working farm in the center of the Hudson Valley, New York, and is surrounded by fresh peach trees in the summer and Mutsu, Mac, and Cortland apple trees in the fall. The Shawangunk Mountain Ridge serves as the backdrop to this landmark, and the view from there is so spectacular that the fields surrounding The Hill were kept unplanted in order to preserve the scenic grandeur of the surrounding area. In addition to the already noticeable attraction, the natural aroma of the peach flowers and apple blooms enhances the experience. The Hill got its start in 2014, when our daughter made the decision to have her wedding “on top of the hill.” The rest is history. Because of the site's allure, making the decision to use it was a straightforward process. Plans were drawn up to construct a terrace that would overlook the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. The patio is enclosed by a split-rail fence, which is ideal for accommodating all of the event's guests. Whether it is in the afternoon or at night, the sky surrounding The Hill stretches for miles in every direction, and the sunsets are impossible to capture with a digital camera. The Hill at Wright's Farm will provide you with the perfect memories of a lifetime and will assist you in capturing an experience that will be difficult to forget in the future.
