The Walrus and The Carpenter
4743 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USAIn the winter of 2009, friends Renee Erickson, Jeremy Price, and Chad Dale set out to build a fun, lively, and approachable oyster bar in their backyard — a neighborhood spot where the very best in food and drink would be served in a cozy, welcoming setting — and opened The Walrus and Carpenter the following spring. 'The Walrus' was created with a great deal of assistance from friends and family. The drawings, which are now displayed on the walls of the dining room, were created by artist Jeffry Mitchell. The majority of the cabinetry and furniture in the space was built by Jeremy's father, Tim Price. Ryan and Jim, Renee's brother and her father, were responsible for laying the brick patio. During a trip to Los Angeles, Renee and Carrie Omegna, a very dear friend who is now our Executive Director, discovered the rusted, metal, coral-like chandelier that serves as the centerpiece of The Walrus and the Carpenter in an antique yard. At long last, in the summer of 2010, The Walrus and the Carpenter became accessible to the general public. Local and national acclaim soon followed, and today, people travel from near and far to dine and drink at The Walrus and the Carpenter, which has become a destination restaurant. While this is true, the restaurant retains its neighborhood feel, serving friendly, often bustling patrons in a relaxed atmosphere where they can enjoy icy cold piles of oysters, delectable plate dishes and a wide selection of wines by the glass, beers, ciders, and sophisticated cocktails.

Red Cedar Farm
27054 NW Lofall Rd, Poulsbo, WA 98370, USA- Spaces for 150 Guests
- 1 Barn
- 1 Farm
Red Cedar Farm sits on Lofall Road in Poulsbo, Washington, a property Andrea and Gregg bought as a family retreat in 1987 and then, over the years, filled with more than a thousand trees, a pumpkin patch, a hardy kiwi orchard, and an antique shop built from Gregg's own collecting habit. Weddings came later: the farm began hosting events after 2009, inspired by a local venue, and held its first wedding in 2012. It still books no more than one event per day. The centerpiece is the Barn, a heated reception space converted from a former chicken house and carport that seats 150. Ceremonies move outdoors to the Arbor or, when the weather insists otherwise, under the Pergola. The bridal party dresses in a suite with its own building for bridesmaids; the groom gets a 130-year-old restored barn to himself. Guests circulate through the Terrace courtyard, warm up at the stone fire pit, or find their way to the Arcade, a room of more than fifteen vintage pinball machines dating to the 1950s through the early '70s. The grounds still function as a working farm, with goats and donkeys on hand for the Farm & Play Area, a catering kitchen, four ADA-accessible restrooms, and parking for 25 cars — anyone else takes the shuttle.

Tsillan Cellars
3875 US-97 ALT, Chelan, WA 98816, USA- Spaces for 60-220 Guests
- 1 Outdoor
- 3 Wineries
- 2 Gardens
Tsillan Cellars gathers guests on the south shore of Lake Chelan, where a Tuscan-inspired estate winery, tasting room, and Sorrento's Ristorante share a single hillside property overlooking the lake and surrounding vineyards. A second location, the Woodin Creek Tasting Room and Event Space, extends that same hospitality to Woodinville. For weddings, the estate opens two distinct settings. The Upper Waterfall Terrazzo hosts ceremonies and receptions of 14 to 60 guests each Thursday and Friday from May through September, set among grape trellises, cascading waterfalls, and lake and vineyard views. Sorrento's Pavilion, a 3,000-square-foot glass structure ringed by 23 Tuscan columns, opens onto two acres of water features, gardens, and terrazzo areas for larger celebrations, and its heated, enclosable glass design keeps weddings running into the off-season. Couples can also elope on a ceremony site overlooking the lake, followed by a private dinner on the estate's island venue. Beyond weddings, Tsillan Cellars hosts corporate gatherings, family reunions, birthdays, baby showers, and rehearsal dinners, accommodating groups from an intimate dinner for two up to a celebration of 100 in Chelan. In Woodinville, the Woodin Creek Tasting Room opens fully for parties up to 60 guests or partially for gatherings of 12 to 30, with an events coordinator arranging wine and menu selections for each occasion.

Washington State Legislative Building
Washington State Capitol Building, 416 Sid Snyder Ave SW, Olympia, WA 98504, USA- Spaces for 200 Guests
The Washington State Legislative Building anchors the Capitol Campus in Olympia. Completed in 1928, it was designed by New York architects Walter R. Wilder and Harry K. White. Their design won a national competition held in 1911. The building's dome rises 287 feet. It is the tallest masonry dome in North America. Wilkeson sandstone, quarried in Pierce County, covers the exterior. Inside, marble arrives from farther away: Formosa marble lines the Senate chamber, French Escalette marble lines the House, and gray Alaskan marble runs through the main corridors. A Tiffany chandelier hangs over the Washington State Seal in the rotunda. The rotunda, its mezzanines, and the Columbia Room host weddings, receptions, dances, and graduation ceremonies. Private events can take place inside the building after hours. Outdoors, ceremonies can also take place in the Sunken Garden, under a wisteria trellis, or on the lawn near the Tivoli fountain. The surrounding grounds were laid out by the Olmsted Brothers and include an arboretum and cherry trees, all within a National Historic District.

Lakewold Gardens
12317 Gravelly Lake Dr SW, Tacoma, WA 98499, USA- Spaces for 10-150 Guests
- 3 Outdoor Spaces
- 4 Historic Spaces
- 4 Total Spaces
Lakewold Gardens is a nonprofit public garden on the shores of Gravelly Lake in Lakewood, Washington, not a purpose-built banquet hall. The 10-acre estate dates to the early 20th century, and its design took shape over decades under Corydon and Eulalie Wagner, who owned the property from 1938 and brought in landscape architect Thomas Church, who returned regularly after his first Pacific Northwest visit in 1958 to refine the grounds. In 1987, Eulalie Wagner donated the estate to a new nonprofit, and Lakewold opened to the public as a garden in 1989. That history shapes how events work here. Rather than booking back-to-back weddings, Lakewold reserves a limited number each year, giving couples exclusive use of the Wagner House and surrounding gardens instead of a single interior room. Ceremonies and receptions can host up to 150 guests among century-old trees and garden rooms shaped across nearly a century of horticultural stewardship, while smaller micro-weddings and elopements are available for couples who want a quieter version of the same setting, including the Tea House gazebo and the wisteria-covered veranda. The same Wagner House rooms — an Upper Conference Room, Living Room/Dining Room, Veranda, and Atrium — are also available to rent for birthday parties, showers, corporate retreats, and other private gatherings, each with a view out into the garden.

Harmony Meadows Tennis Resort sits on a former farm in Manson, Washington, near Lake Chelan, between orchards and the Cascade foothills. A 2018 Master Planned Resort designation from Chelan County allowed the addition of overnight accommodations and food service, and the resort now offers thirteen suites across the Inn, the Hayloft Suite, and the Cottages. For weddings and private events, the resort's centerpiece is the Great Hall, a 6,000-square-foot event space accommodating up to 250 guests beneath natural light, with barn doors that can be opened to the surrounding landscape or closed for a more intimate setting. Couples planning a smaller celebration can book the Salon, appointed with a grand piano and a rock crystal chandelier, for a cocktail reception or private dinner, or choose an Intimate Wedding package for up to 16 guests on the lawn in front of the Gazebo. Beyond the event spaces, the resort's tennis and pickleball courts, on-site dining, and proximity to the wineries of Manson and Chelan give guests things to do before and after the celebration.
