OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort — formerly known as Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel and long celebrated as "Hawai'i's Most Hawaiian Hotel" — occupies 11 acres on the golden sands of Kāʻanapali Beach along Maui's western shore. Opened in 1964 as one of Hawai'i's first planned resorts, the property earned its cultural designation through more than three decades of programming led by full-time cultural specialists, offering guests complimentary daily classes in hula, 'ukulele, lei making, Hawaiian language, and traditional arts. The resort hosts events across a range of indoor and outdoor spaces, from the 4,000-square-foot Kanahele Room — which accommodates up to 250 guests for seated dinners and receptions — to the oceanfront Signature Lawn, which can accommodate up to 400 guests with views of Puʻu Kekaʻa (Black Rock) and the Pacific. Intimate ceremonies find a fitting home on the Naupaka Lawn, set steps from the beach and framed by palm trees and tropical flowers. OUTRIGGER acquired the hotel in July 2023, completing a $75 million renovation of its 432 guest rooms while preserving the cultural programs and aloha spirit that define the property.
