KAI studio is a luxurious 6,000 square foot bi-level venue located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The Asian inspired design in this former storage warehouse, showcases custom hand carved woodworks from around the globe. WhiteBox is a non-profit contemporary art space in Manhattan, founded in 1998 as an alternative gallery in the then-nascent Chelsea neighborhood. Over more than two decades it has relocated across the city — to the Lower East Side, East Harlem, and most recently to Alphabet City in the East Village — sustaining 27 years of uninterrupted programming along the way. The space describes itself as a radically inclusive institution with a mission to remain freely accessible to everyone, prioritizing underserved communities through exhibitions, educational programs, and participatory projects. Its calendar spans contemporary art exhibitions, performances, artist conversations, and workshops, alongside recurring initiatives such as the FireHouse Lit Lounge, a cultural-literary-performance salon. Docent-led tours are offered in English, Spanish, and Chinese. Open Tuesday through Friday, WhiteBox offers a gallery setting in the East Village suited to exhibitions, cultural gatherings, and community-oriented events.

We found a perfect cozy space at the end of an unused alley off the Bowery in the fall of 2004, and Freemans Restaurant was born. The restaurant's concept was to create a rough, secretive colonial American tavern. Early Americans imagined the cuisine to be simple, rustic, and inspired by Old World traditions. We've held everything from weddings and birthday parties to movie premieres, luncheons, wrap parties, bridal showers, and business dinners over the years. For seated dinner parties or cocktail celebrations, Freemans has three private rooms available. The entire second floor, including the drawing room, or the entire restaurant, can be rented for groups of 30 to 200 people. Our intimate working wine cellar provides an exceptional eating environment. In your own private wine cellar, seats 10-12 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner. In an elegant 2nd floor dining room, the Blue Room seats 13-20 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner, or up to 30 guests for a cocktail reception. Our largest single private room is the Red Room on the second floor. In an attractive 2nd floor dining room, seats 20-30 guests for a sit-down lunch or supper, or up to 40 guests for a cocktail reception. Guests can book the Red Room, Drawing Room, and Blue Room for large-scale gatherings. Within our five turn-of-the-century warehouses, The 1896, Studios & Stages houses over a dozen different shooting locations for Photo, Film, Commercials, and Events. Opened in 2008 by sculptor Jen Durbin, The 1896 has welcomed productions and events both small & large for nearly two decades. The site boasts many of its original features, most notably the century-old textured warehouse walls and brick-lined 110' long entrance & promenade, gorgeous skylit warehouses with a 37-foot high clerestory of windows, a 70-foot smokestack towering over Flushing Avenue, a freight elevator with original gear room, and a wrought-iron balcony and fire escape opening onto a brick-lined courtyard. The 1896 with its multiple maze of interconnected and towering warehouses and breakout rooms, both indoor and out, serve as a raw canvas for anything from a stunning Wedding to shape shifting Immersive & Interactive Events and Brand launches, raucous live Concerts blazing til dawn to mud-slinging Fashion Shows and Carnival-themed Birthday bashes. The capacity taps at 274 without permit but swells up to 1200 with a TPA. Our vision for this multi-purpose 26,000 square foot filming and event location presented an opportunity to protect this historic block of buildings from the fate of over-development and to preserve it for the arts.
