The Headlands Facility for the Arts is a multidisciplinary, international arts center committed to artists, the creative process, and the creation of new, original ideas and artwork. What we do is only as significant as where we are. Just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, at historic Fort Barry in the Marin Headlands, a component of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, our site consists of a cluster of artist-rehabilitated military structures. Facility Rental: Conveniently located near home, but a world away. Headlands is a one-of-a-kind meeting spot for a variety of events and celebrations. Individuals and organizations can use our facility for classes, meetings, conferences, photo shoots, weddings, and other events. Sorensdale Recreation Center is a community event venue in Hayward, California, operated by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Located at 275 Goodwin Street in a quiet cul-de-sac setting near Tennyson High School, the center underwent a full renovation in 2016 and now offers a modern, welcoming environment for private events. The main hall accommodates up to 130 guests and features 20-foot ceilings, large windows that fill the space with natural light, and a commercial kitchen equipped with stainless steel surfaces. A stage and on-site parking round out the facility's event amenities. Sorensdale Recreation Center is available for a wide range of private gatherings — weddings, receptions, auctions, theatrical performances, and community celebrations alike. Rental hours run Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday, 9 AM to 8 PM, with a three-hour minimum. Each venue has its own own design components and aspects; make a reservation today and celebrate tomorrow. Minimonies at Ravenswood At Ravenswood Historic Site, we are introducing outdoor "minimonies" (mini-ceremonies). Exchange your vows in an outdoor environment with up to 50 guests while keeping all aspects of social distancing in mind. Choose from a romantic garden gazebo, a rustic covered tree patch, or the classic shaded tree archway for your ceremony. Included are the bride's room, tables, chairs, restrooms, parking, and a building attendant. Applicants have the option of hosting a small event with a champagne toast and individually prepared food. A minimum of four (4) hours is required; any additional hours will be charged at the hourly rental rate. Facility Event Rental Process at Ravenswood Applications are accepted eighteen (18) months in advance of the requested date, on a first-come, first served basis; preferred dates, times, and facility location vary. Applicants must submit a completed and signed Facility Rental Application, as well as a refundable deposit, to book and reserve the day. All other rental fees must be paid 45 days before the event date. If applicants want to rent with the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, they must understand and obey the Facility Rental Rules and Regulations. The Historic Adobe Building is a California Historical Landmark and National Register of Historic Places property located at 157 Moffett Boulevard in Mountain View, near the edge of downtown. Built in 1934 as a New Deal Civil Works Administration project, the structure features Spanish Revival architecture — terracotta clay tile roofing, thick adobe brick walls, decorative concrete columns, and wrought iron details that reflect early California building tradition. After a community preservation campaign, the building was restored to its 1935 appearance and reopened in 2001. The venue offers two complementary event spaces managed by the City of Mountain View's Recreation Department. The Great Room accommodates up to 100 guests for indoor dining and features exposed trusses, hand-hewn lumber, and a modern catering kitchen. The adjacent patio and lawn area provides an outdoor setting with lush landscaping and a decorative fountain, suited for ceremonies or al fresco receptions.
