Pat O’Brien ran a speakeasy on St. Peter Street until the repeal of Prohibition. He officially opened Pat O’Brien’s Bar on December 3rd, 1933 and the business moved to the present location at 718 St. Peter Street in 1942. In 1990, 624 Bourbon Street was purchased primarily as a private event venue. By 1999, the necessity for a unique private party venue was apparent and Pat O’s on the River in Jax Brewery opened for private parties. It was built in 1820 by John Fritz Miller to house his family and law practice of Christian Rosaleus, founder of Tulane University School of Law. Standing opposite of the old Ursuline Convent on Chartres Street is where the home of the Beauregard-Keyes House resides. The House is now owned by the Keyes Foundation, which was established by late resident Frances Parkinson Keyes, to ensure the preservation of the house and garden which she restored. Since the construction of the House in 1826, many different residents have contributed to the stories that make up the fabric of this unique historical site.

During the late 1800s and early 1900s, this Masonic hall was used for a variety of social events including dances, some of which featured ragtime and jazz musicians. The lodge was a prominent white Creole association that was established at this location in 1794. Among its members was W.C.C. Claiborne, who served as Louisiana's first governor. The first floor was used for public gatherings, while the second floor was reserved for private lodge functions. Rituals were performed in French until the 1950s, when the language was switched to English. The building is an impressive example of the Greek Revival style; it has three bays and two stories and was built around the year 1840. Both the building and the cast iron gate along Rampart Street, which was constructed in the 1880s, are decorated with Masonic symbols. Today, guests continue to stay at the lodge. The Lodge has a rich history that makes its interior shine with one-of-a-kind details that cannot be found in any other venue that is available for rental. This expansive and historically significant property was founded in 1794 and chartered by the Grand Lodge of Louisiana in 1812, the same year that the state of Louisiana was admitted to the Union. If the exterior space is used, the property can accommodate as many as 300 people.

The Alexander Room and Terrace, which is tucked away in the heart of Metairie, is a true jewel. The International Brotherhood of Electricians (IBE) thought of and built the Alexander Room in 1984. The Alexander Room was designed to be a contender among Metairie's event spaces, and that was the goal from the outset of construction. The room was never advertised to the general public as a result of unforeseeable events. The Alexander Room was approached in 2014 with the aim of enlisting the help of Troy and Cindy Timphony of Hobnobber Café to take over the food, administration, and marketing of the space. As time went on, renovations were made, menus were created, and the website and social media platforms were established, resulting in the polished jewel that is The Alexander Room and Terrace. The Alexander Room has an inside size of 5000 square feet and a terrace with an additional 4000 square feet of space on the second level.
