OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort — formerly known as Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel and long celebrated as "Hawai'i's Most Hawaiian Hotel" — occupies 11 acres on the golden sands of Kāʻanapali Beach along Maui's western shore. Opened in 1964 as one of Hawai'i's first planned resorts, the property earned its cultural designation through more than three decades of programming led by full-time cultural specialists, offering guests complimentary daily classes in hula, 'ukulele, lei making, Hawaiian language, and traditional arts. The resort hosts events across a range of indoor and outdoor spaces, from the 4,000-square-foot Kanahele Room — which accommodates up to 250 guests for seated dinners and receptions — to the oceanfront Signature Lawn, which can accommodate up to 400 guests with views of Puʻu Kekaʻa (Black Rock) and the Pacific. Intimate ceremonies find a fitting home on the Naupaka Lawn, set steps from the beach and framed by palm trees and tropical flowers. OUTRIGGER acquired the hotel in July 2023, completing a $75 million renovation of its 432 guest rooms while preserving the cultural programs and aloha spirit that define the property.

Built across lava rock coastline and opened in the 1980s, the property features a four-acre ocean-fed saltwater lagoon, multiple pool complexes, tropical gardens, and more than 1,800 pieces of art displayed along a museum walkway. Guests travel the expansive grounds by canal boat and air-conditioned monorail. For events, the resort offers more than 120,000 square feet of indoor meeting and exhibit space alongside over 175,000 square feet of outdoor event areas — among the largest event footprints on Hawaii's outer islands. The Grand Ballroom seats up to 2,400 guests across three stepped levels and can be divided into seven flexible sections. Outdoor settings range from the Buddha Point Lawn, with panoramic sunset views over the Pacific and capacity for up to 800 for receptions, to the Lagoon Lanai adjacent to the resort's saltwater lagoon and its cascading waterfall. Naupaka Point, a newer oceanfront venue spanning 34,000 square feet, accommodates up to 1,000 for receptions along the Kohala Coast. The resort's culinary team provides in-house catering, including locally sourced ingredients and Hawaiian specialties, and a dedicated on-site events planning team supports coordination from inquiry through event day.
