Steeple Hall occupies the second floor of Mission Oak Grill, housed in a converted Baptist church in historic Newburyport, Massachusetts. The building dates to 1805, and its cathedral ceilings, stained glass details, and floor-to-ceiling windows give the space a character suited to weddings and private celebrations. A 2002 renovation preserved the historic architecture while adding contemporary updates including new flooring, a refreshed bar, and a greenery wall. With capacity for up to 180 seated guests, Steeple Hall is the only wedding venue in Newburyport able to host that size of event comfortably. Because the Dennis Inn only accommodates one wedding reception per day, you will have complete freedom to design your day around you, with full access to the Inn and grounds. With a large tent on our wide grounds, we can accommodate up to 250 guests for indoor gatherings and up to 100 visitors for outdoor functions. The Inn also features a wonderful suite of rooms on the second floor that can accommodate up to eight guests. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and entertainment area, and a powder room make up this wedding suite. In a devastating fire in 1962, the old Oakley Clubhouse was destroyed. It was replaced by a new clubhouse, which was rebuilt in 1998 to match the original Bulfinch building's lines. The Club's efforts to maintain the charm of a New England rural estate while delivering best-in-class country club accommodations are being bolstered by the 2018-19 clubhouse renovations. The configuration of the course has remained unchanged since the last Ross re-design in 1910.
