THE SAN DIEGO HISTORY CENTER, located in historic Balboa Park, offers entertaining exhibitions that will complement any event, party, or celebration. Our museum features a large Atrium, Theater, Conference Room, and nine galleries in a lovely and expansive setting. Weddings, cocktail parties, social hours, meetings, and fundraisers are all possible at the museum. An event at the San Diego History Center means celebrating and enjoying the company of coworkers, friends, and family while surrounded by our exquisite location. It is strongly recommended, but not needed, to hire a wedding organizer. You are investing in professional experience and peace of mind by doing so. Weddings are not coordinated on-site at the History Center. We're happy to collaborate with a trusted network of Preferred Caterers who are required to provide food, beverage, and bar service for your event. Old Venice has been family owned and run for 42 years and is the ideal spot to spend time with those you care about. Please use the form on our website to request information about your upcoming event. Two weeks ahead to your event, we require a final menu. The catering menu can be found on the website. Following the completion of the menu, a contract will be written and delivered to you via email for perusal. The contract must be signed and returned at least one week before the event. At least two weeks before the event, the final guest count must be determined. The restaurant will be prepared to serve up to 5% (5%) of the total guest count, or ten (10) dishes (whichever is fewer). OUR COVERED PATIO HAS ROOM FOR 25-35 PEOPLE.
