It's no surprise that Dunes West is a recurrent choice among brides, given to its incomparable beauty and experienced event crew, which includes a team of culinary artists who provide some of the greatest cuisine in the area. The Food and Beverage Director will assist in the planning of all functions, including food and beverage arrangements, facility set up, and event timeline, to ensure that all elements are confirmed and agreed upon in advance. Tables, chairs, flatware, china, glasses, and linens will be provided as available and depending on the nature of the event at Dunes West Golf and River Club. The cost of any additional products that the club needs to hire will be added to the final total. The employees of Dunes West Golf and River Club will set up tables, chairs, and linens, but will not be responsible for decorations, props, or flowers. Candles, props, decorations, and other special objects should be brought in the day before or the morning of the celebration. Any objects not belonging to The Club that are left behind should be picked up the morning after the function. The Club is not responsible for any objects that are not removed promptly after an event. The guest is responsible for all floral arrangements, musical arrangements, cakes, and photographs. Vendors who have previously worked with Dunes West Golf and River Club can be recommended by the Food and Beverage Director. The room will usually be ready to decorate by 7 a.m. for a morning event, 9 a.m. for a lunch event, and 3 p.m. for an evening event. Vendor deliveries should be coordinated with the Director of Food & Beverage. The facility is open to both members and non-members of Dunes West Golf and River Club. All events require a $500 deposit or 50% of the room cost, whichever is lower, which will be deducted from the final payment. There are no refunds on any deposits. John Lewis, the founder and maestro of BBQ, grew up in El Paso, Texas, and came to Austin at the age of 18 to begin his culinary career. John's parents got him a New Braunfels smoker for his birthday around this time, and he began dabbling in Austin's long-standing backyard BBQ culture. He immediately began to experiment with the design and construction of both his smokers and his meats in order to achieve a better result. After spending time in Denver developing his skills on the competition barbecue circuit, John returned to Austin to assist his buddy Aaron Franklin with the opening of Franklin Barbecue, and then joined with LeAnn Mueller to open the much-loved La Barbecue. John went to the Holy City in March 2015 with his smokers to introduce the Lowcountry to the amazing world of Texas BBQ. Private dinners, happy hours, bridal/baby showers, lectures, wine/beer tastings, and more can all be held in this area. This open timber-framed structure is the perfect setting for a wide range of events and celebrations. For seated dinners of up to 100 persons, long wooden community tables are available. The space is also great for parties and activities that can spill over onto the courtyard. Up to 200 persons can stand throughout the full space.   Alhambra Hall is tucked away in Mount Pleasant's Old Village neighborhood. This former ferry terminal, which overlooks Charleston Harbor, is furnished with hardwood flooring, vaulted ceilings, and airy southern porches that wrap around three sides of the structure. There are no conflicts between events because we only organize one event per day. Alhambra Hall's primary rental space, which is a well-liked location for weddings and celebrations, is about 3,280 square feet. The main hall is 80 feet long and 40 feet broad. 350 people can fit in the building at most. For a sit-down meal, the main hall can accommodate 200 people comfortably. All rentals may conclude as late as midnight on Saturday through Thursday and 1 a.m. on Friday. However, please remember that the fee of your nighttime rental covers using the space for an event that lasts no more than six (6) hours. Plan properly for your start and end hours.   One of the most stately and exquisitely designed historic homes in Charleston, South Carolina, is the Governor Thomas Bennett House, which was built around the year 1825. It is available for use in a variety of settings, including business gatherings, private parties, luncheons, wedding ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. The Governor Thomas Bennett House is a stunning and historic location that embraces all of the allure that historic Charleston has to offer. Whether you are planning a grand wedding or an intimate elopement, the Governor Thomas Bennett House is an excellent choice. Your outdoor wedding ceremony will look picture-perfect when held in our Crescent Garden, which features a pineapple fountain and is shaded by an oak tree that is more than 200 years old. Immediately after the ceremony, the attendees will be welcomed into the House for the cocktail hour. The reception will take place outside on the Side Lawn, which is located next to the Crescent Garden. On the day of the wedding, the home and grounds are available for use by the wedding party and guests in their entirety. The appropriate area for you to get ready for your big day is provided by a Bridal Suite located on the second level and a "Man Cave" located on the ground floor for the groom. Our conference room has recently undergone renovations, and as a result, it now offers a meeting space that is both historic and distinctive. The Bennett House Conference Room is found on the ground level right off the courtyard, and it provides a quiet area for your board or committee to meet with a group capacity of up to 24 persons. A wireless and audiovisual connection, facilities that are accessible to people with disabilities, and complimentary parking close to the House provide the ideal environment for meeting the requirements of your group or organization to the fullest extent.
