  The Foundry At Puritan Mill

  Puritan Chemical Company built and operated The Foundry at Puritan Mill, which opened its doors in 1921 and is still in operation today. A variety of cleaning goods, including Puritan soap, were created and stored in the facility until they were sent out through the nearby Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It was here that Puritan Chemical Company's Atlanta headquarters was located from 1946 to 1996. The property was bought by Urban Realty Partners and Weaver & Woodbery Company in 2000 with the intention of restoring it and converting it into a mixed-use site.   Kacey and Hillery Cecil, Marietta residents, own The Foxglove and its in-house florist, 131 LeFleur. The Foxglove hosts private parties, gatherings, weddings, and receptions and was born out of a desire to see a magnificent old building repaired and revitalized while adding something new and interesting to the square. We've done everything we can to maintain faithful to the building's character and history, including keeping the original brickwork, steel-framed factory windows, and industrial overhead beams. The Foxglove and 131 LeFleur, located at 54 Atlanta Street, are conveniently placed walking distance from the historic Marietta Square. Champagne toasts in the garden courtyard, canapés under the sweeping draperies, and dancing under the original steel beams overhead.   Court Street Livery is a restored 19th-century barn in Washington, Georgia, steps from the town square in the heart of Northeast Georgia — roughly two hours east of Atlanta and under an hour from both Athens and Augusta. The 3,000-square-foot venue centers on a wide open floor plan beneath 35-foot vaulted ceilings with soaring heart pine rafters, posts, and beams. Three large garage doors open the space toward an adjoining plaza, flooding the interior with natural light and allowing the event footprint to expand outdoors under a tent when the occasion calls for it.   The Swan House Gardens

Designed by Philip Trammel Shutze in 1928 for Edward and Emily Inman, Swan House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This Atlanta landmark is versatile enough to host a dinner party or act as a pre-function space for the Grand Overlook ballroom. Consider adding a costumed interpreter that will perform historical character narratives. Edward Inman was heir to a large cotton brokerage fortune amassed after the Civil War. He was an Atlanta businessman with interests in real estate, transportation, and banking. His wife Emily was involved in philanthropy, politics, and society. In 1924, they hired the architectural firm of Hentz, Reid, and Adler to design a house for their property in Buckhead, a residential suburb of Atlanta. Noted architect Philip Trammel Shutze designed Swan House and its gardens, as well as many other important buildings in the city. He adapted Italian and English classical styles to accommodate 20th-century living for Swan House, which many consider his finest residential work. Emily lived in Swan House until her passing at age 84 in 1965. In 1966, the Atlanta Historical Society purchased the home and most of its original furnishings, ranging from 18th-century antiques to 20th-century objects. It opened to the public in 1967 as a house museum and headquarters of the Atlanta Historical Society. Formal gardens surround and showcase the 1928 historic mansion. Reminiscent of great Italian gardens, it is perched on a hill with a cascading fountain, terraced lawns, roses tumbling over stone walls, and clipped hedges. An intimate boxwood garden and formal motor court complete the landscape, making this one of Atlanta’s best-known and photographed sites. The lawns can accommodate 50 to 750 guests. Because Swan House is a historic house museum, parties and receptions are not allowed inside the mansion, but your guests can tour the mansion for a few hours during your event.

  The Biltmore Ballrooms

  The Biltmore Hotel, which opened its doors in 1924 and served as the center of Atlanta's business and social life for over sixty years. This magnificent landmark was created by the architecture company Shultze and Weaver, which is also responsible for such iconic hotels as The Breakers in Palm Beach, the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, The Pierre, and The Sherry Netherland in Amsterdam. It was formerly referred to as "The South's Supreme Hotel," but the Biltmore was forced to lock its doors in 1982 after a change in ownership and several years of continuous deterioration. When The Biltmore underwent a complete makeover in 1999, it was the result of sixteen years of neglect and abandonment. The result was a combination of Class A office space and retail space, as well as a unique event area. The reconstruction of the Georgian and Imperial Ballrooms, which are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, allowed The Biltmore to swiftly reclaim its position as one of Atlanta's social and commercial hotspots.
