    Founded in 1930 when industrialist Al Wenrick set out to turn 150 acres of Dayton-area farmland into a golf course, Walnut Grove Country Club has grown into one of the area's established private clubs. The course opened in 1935, operating initially as Green-Mont Country Club before taking its current name as the property came to straddle county lines.
