Dating from 1815, the Farmhouse is one of the rental facilities at Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center, perched on the Kittatinny Ridge in the Pocono Mountains of Bangor, Pennsylvania. The NSCDA/PA Headquarters House occupies a Colonial Revival building at 1630 Latimer Street in downtown Philadelphia, designed by the architectural firm Ritter and Shay and completed in 1923 as the home of the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in Pennsylvania. The landscaped garden surrounding the house was designed by Marion Coffin, one of the first female landscape architects in the United States, and remains a four-season setting for outdoor ceremonies. Beyond its role as the Society's headquarters, the house functions as a private event venue, hosting weddings, corporate events, and other private gatherings for up to 120 guests. Docked at 1 State Street on Presque Isle Bay, the Victorian Princess is one of the few authentic paddle wheelers still in operation in the country. Built in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1986 and originally christened The Rosie O'Shea, the vessel arrived in Erie in 1998 and was renamed the Victorian Princess. Current owner Duryea Gette purchased the boat in 2016 and has since invested roughly half a million dollars in infrastructure improvements. The three-level riverboat is certified to carry up to 120 passengers across its 107-foot hull. The enclosed first deck seats 72 for dinner service with buffet seating, a full-service bar, and two restrooms; the second deck accommodates 50 dining guests with its own bar; and the open-air third deck holds 45 for live music and Lake Erie views. A three-zone sound system with wireless microphones and five televisions round out the amenities. Beyond its regular sightseeing, dining, and happy hour cruises, the Victorian Princess hosts private and semi-private charters for weddings, corporate functions, school field trips, and social celebrations such as anniversaries, reunions, birthdays, and bar and bat mitzvahs. The Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake traces its roots to a jewel of a spring-fed lake discovered more than 75 years ago while hiking Big Pocono, a find that grew into Mountain Springs Lake Resort and, within it, the historic inn known as The Lodge. By the 1980s, The Lodge had become a favorite fine dining spot in the Poconos, and the addition of The Verandah in the early 2000s carried that same culinary attention into wedding and event hosting. The property remains family-run by successive generations of the Rader family. Today The Lodge hosts one wedding at a time, so each celebration has exclusive use of the grounds. Ceremonies can take place under a handcrafted wooden pergola by the pond or lakeside along Mountain Springs Lake's private, spring-fed waters, with receptions of up to 200 guests held in The Verandah, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the pond and bring the outdoors in on rainy days.
