Lake Wilderness Lodge
22500 SE 248th St, Maple Valley, WA 98038, USA- Spaces for 220-250 Guests
- 1 Landmark
- 1 Historic Space
- 1 Waterfront
Mount Rainier rises across the water while a mid-century lodge holds the shoreline of Lake Wilderness. Built in 1950 by the Seattle architectural firm Young & Richardson, Carlston & Detlie, the lodge earned an American Institute of Architects honor and a Washington State Design Award in 1952 for the way it steps into its sloped, lakefront site. The building traces back further still: an early-1900s homestead farm that the Jacobsen family opened to hunters and anglers grew into a trio of resorts through the 1920s, and by 1939 the expanded Gaffney's Grove drew as many as 9,000 visitors a day for baseball, tennis, a skating rink, and swimming beaches. King County designated the lodge a landmark in 1997 for its postwar Northwest architecture, and it took its current name in 2003. Today the lodge hosts up to 220 guests across its main floor, mezzanine, and lower level, with a warming kitchen, two changing rooms, a courtyard balcony, a covered patio, and a lawn included in the rental. A 12-by-12 dance floor, a sound system with Bluetooth and HDMI inputs, and wireless microphones come with the space. Renters bring their own caterer or self-cater, since the kitchen is licensed for warming and cold prep only. Weddings, receptions, banquets, and corporate gatherings all fill the calendar here, on grounds that have drawn crowds to this lakeshore since long before the lodge itself was built.

The barn was renovated with care to preserve its original character while adding modern amenities such as a kitchen and restrooms, and it has operated as a wedding and event venue since 2005. In the two decades since, couples from around the world have gathered within its walls to celebrate with friends and family. Owners Laurie and Jason Dix have operated Red Barn Studios for almost 20 years, working with couples from the earliest planning stages through their wedding day. The two-story barn offers 3,000 square feet of space on each floor and accommodates up to 250 guests, with seating for 150 provided as part of the rental. A separate bridal suite gives the bride a private space to prepare, complete with a parlor stove and a landscaped back area used for pre-ceremony portraits, and an outdoor field near a cottonwood tree serves as a ceremony site for couples who prefer to celebrate outdoors. Beyond weddings, the venue also hosts celebrations of life, graduation parties, corporate events, proms, anniversary parties, and bridal and baby showers, drawing on the same barn spaces that have hosted its weddings since 2005.

Seabrook Town Hall
24 Front St, Copalis Crossing, WA 98571, USA- Spaces for 80-200 Guests
- 1 Event Space
Wide plank wood floors, high ceilings, and soft neutral walls set the tone inside Seabrook Town Hall, where a New England-inspired exterior gives way to a bright, vaulted interior built for gatherings that feel intentional and welcoming. The open floor plan carries that clarity through into how the room works for an event: long banquet tables and seated dinners on one night, a cocktail reception with room for presentations the next, all inside a space that seats up to 80 guests or holds 120 standing. Large doors open onto adjacent outdoor areas, so a toast or cocktail hour can move outside as easily as it stays in, and the venue sits close enough to Seabrook's parks and walking paths that guests are only steps from more of the town once the doors close. The eight-hour rental includes chiavari chairs, event tables, white or black table linens, and full table settings, with setup, breakdown, and on-site support handled by the venue's team. Couples can add a ceremony package with white folding garden chairs and a champagne or Northwest cider toast for arriving guests.
