The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in Battery Park offers unparalleled indoor and outdoor spaces for events that are at once beautiful, meaningful, and inspirational. The Museum of Jewish Heritage is a versatile venue for gala dinners, conferences, luncheons, film/commercial shoots, performances, theater presentations, and everything in between. We also offer customized event experiences for significant life celebrations such as engagements, weddings, mitzvahs and memorials. All nine of our distinctive event spaces are housed in the Robert M. Morgenthau Wing, an 82,000-square-foot addition unveiled in 2003, while the hexagonal Core building housing the Museum’s main exhibitions opened in 1997. Both buildings were designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Kevin Roche and John Dinkeloo with interiors by Patrick Gallagher and exterior plaza and landscaping by Olin Studio.

We have five private outdoor locations, all unique in their own way and available to rent for a 24-hour period. MAIN LAWN The Main Lawn features rolling hills lined with vineyards, manicured lawns, ancient oak trees, rose gardens, white fences, exotic animals and hanging twinkle lights in the trees, which all create the perfect backdrop for your special occasion. Vows are exchanged in front of olive trees under a fallen oak tree arch entwined with grape vines. From an intimate gathering to a grand celebration with all of your family and friends, this location can hold up to 500 guests! OAK GROVE Your guests will enter through a scenic driveway surrounded by ancient oaks and get a glimpse of endless rolling hills and valleys off in the distance. The possibilities for a ceremony and reception are endless here with our custom rock waterfall, and guests will have views of our Estate grown wines, lake, Turtlerock, and horses grazing in the distance while encircled by majestic hanging twinkle lights. This space is the perfect place to get creative and build - from tents to hot air balloons and even large scale stages and performance areas, a complete blank canvas to illustrate your story! This location can accommodate up to 450 guests. VINEYARD The Vineyard setting is located on a hilltop situated in the middle of the vineyards surrounded by white rose bushes. From this elevated vantage, you have 360 degree panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and valleys. In keeping with the natural setting, vows are exchanged under a fallen oak tree arch, entwined with grape vines. Hanging lights from the trees create the perfect ambiance for a reception. This location can accommodate up to 150 guests. HILLTOP The Hilltop is located on top of a steep hillside with stunning mountain, rock, vineyard and even Pacific Ocean views! This location offers ample space that is perfect for building a tent, bringing in lawn games and enjoying the beautiful sunset. Bistro lighting and hanging lights in the trees create a romantic ambiance beneath the stars. This location can accommodate up to 150 guests.

There are several spaces inside that are versatile in their use, the main one is our 20 foot high cyclorama wall with 1050 sq. ft. of usable floorspace. The wall itself can be a 20ft high projection screen. The Cyclorama wall is over looked by a loft/lounge (1200 sq. ft) with a functional kitchen, bar and lounge. We have a great natural light space, 543 sq. ft. with 20 high ceilings. 3 bathrooms These are just our main areas, there are about 1400 sq. ft. shared with other spaces in the building. Our pricing covers the use of the building only. We do have our preferred vendors we can put you in touch with for any other needs you may have. Contact us for a list of those vendors. Chicago industrialist Richard T. Crane, Jr. first purchased the land that would become The Crane Estate in 1910. Crane was captivated by the beautiful landscape, and over the next two decades worked with some of America's leading architects and landscape architects to shape his summer retreat, sited with hilltop vistas of the Atlantic in an area of the property known as Castle Hill. In 1928, Castle Hill was crowned with a 59-room Stuart-style mansion designed by world-renowned architect David Adler. Today, the Crane family mansion is known as The Great House on The Crane Estate and is protected, along with the rest of Castle Hill, as a 165-acre National Historic Landmark.
