Come and fall in love with our beautiful event spaces. Our historic 1827 Barn and brand-new All-Seasons Barn combine to create a beautiful setting for a variety of private events, from cocktail receptions to corporate events. When you're at the Farm, you can't help but feel at ease; the environment is ideal for all kinds of gatherings. The natural backdrop is gorgeous while yet being amusing. The Farm is tucked away in the picturesque New England village of Winchester, approximately 10 miles north of Boston. We are a fantastic site for out-of-town weddings and business functions. We're also a great spot to commemorate special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and family gatherings. Rentals are available from May through October, with prices varying depending on the sort of event. In 2021, any event will have a maximum capacity of 50 participants. The historic 1827 Barn and surrounding grounds, as well as two handicapped-accessible facilities, are available for private event rentals. The climate-controlled All-Seasons Barn events area, outdoor terrace, men's and women's bathrooms, as well as a gender-neutral/family restroom, are all available for rent. We can recommend local caterers and party rental companies that are familiar with the Farm. Important Venue Information: - If you plan on serving alcohol, you'll need a one-day liquor license. - The Health Department requires a food service permit for food service. - No candles or open flames are permitted inside any structure. - The first floor of the 1827 barn is reserved for events. During rentals, no guests are permitted on the top levels; only musicians and photographers are permitted on the second level. - Parking is not assured, and it may be especially scarce during raspberry picking season.

Saltwater Farm Vineyard
349 Elm St, Stonington, CT 06378, USAIn 1653, Walter Palmer, who lived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony after arriving from England in 1629, established a farm on some 230 acres of his land holdings surrounding Wequetequock Cove. Portions of Palmer’s original tract, including what is now Saltwater Farm Vineyard, continued to be used as farmland into the early decades of the 20th century, known then as the West Farm and owned by Herbert West, who was raised in North Stonington. In the late 1930s, William J. Foster opened a small community airport on the property. Foster built a hangar there, designed by John W. Lincoln, an architect and engineer living in Stonington and a man credited with sharing in the creation of the modern Quonset Hut. Foster Field, also known as Westone Airport, functioned as an airport for several years before the U.S. entry into World War II, when the government closed such airports for public use. In 1945, as the war was ending, Foster leased the property to Henry R. Palmer Jr. of Stonington, who offered commercial air service and flight training there. Palmer opened Aero-Marine Service at Foster Flying Field in February 1946. Palmer’s venture lasted only a couple of years and the hangar was used variously, and haphazardly, through the subsequent decades as warehouse, restaurant, light manufacturing facility and home to squatters.
