  Historic Locust Grove is a National Historic Landmark and circa-1792 Federal-style mansion set five miles from downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Built between 1790 and 1794 on what was then America's frontier, the property served as home to Major William and Lucy Clark Croghan and drew some of the young nation's most prominent figures — Presidents James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, and Zachary Taylor among them. General George Rogers Clark, Louisville's founder, lived at Locust Grove from 1809 until his death in 1818. Today the property offers a range of indoor and outdoor rental spaces suited to weddings, corporate gatherings, family reunions, and intimate celebrations. The open-air Pavilion provides more than 4,000 square feet of covered space for up to 250 guests, while the Audubon Room seats 150 indoors beneath a working fireplace flanked by French doors that open directly onto the Quadrant Gardens. The gardens themselves — four 75-foot lawn quadrants lined with viburnum and sweet bay magnolia — accommodate seated dinners and ceremony processionals alike along a 200-foot dogwood-lined allée. A caterers' kitchen is available on-site, and the property's paved and gravel paths connect each venue. Free on-site parking is included with all rentals.

  Southern Bridle Farms is a wedding and event venue set on a quiet country property near Perry, Georgia, accessible off Highway 96 just three miles from Interstate 75. Founded in 2012 by two families who set out to build the space they couldn't find elsewhere, the property was designed from the ground up to accommodate gatherings of virtually any size under one roof. The centerpiece of the farm is The Cedar Barn — a 10,000-square-foot structure built in the tradition of old Southern barn design using hand-selected cedar and pine logged and milled locally. Inside, 36-foot ceilings rise above 8x8 support beams, three grand chandeliers, and large sliding barn doors that open onto the surrounding grounds. The barn accommodates 500 or more guests for receptions and large celebrations. The outdoor grounds include a covered ceremony chapel with an arbor entrance, a stacked stone fireplace anchoring a cocktail area, and a Cyprus Bridal Cottage with a kitchenette, bathroom, sitting area, and vanity. Because the Dennis Inn only accommodates one wedding reception per day, you will have complete freedom to design your day around you, with full access to the Inn and grounds. With a large tent on our wide grounds, we can accommodate up to 250 guests for indoor gatherings and up to 100 visitors for outdoor functions. The Inn also features a wonderful suite of rooms on the second floor that can accommodate up to eight guests. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and entertainment area, and a powder room make up this wedding suite. A beautiful in-ground pool and wide back yard complete out the Inn's amenities, perfect for entertaining the day before the wedding or hosting a farewell brunch the day after. Saturday receptions require a minimum of 100 guests from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. The Inn offers a discounted rate for receptions without overnight accommodations.
