The Kim Sing Theatre, formerly the vaudeville house and movie theater, was built in 1926. The Kim Sing Theatre was artfully reimagined in the early 2000's for private use and re-opened to the public in 2017 for the first time in 17 years. Retaining original details such as bow truss ceilings and the customizable neon marquee sign, the site has been modernized into a striking and flexible space with a full residential kitchen, serving station, and AV room. Through customized tours, artifact-rich exhibitions, creative educational programs, and intergenerational conversations with survivors, the Museum teaches students and visitors to think critically about the lessons of the Holocaust and its social relevance today. Museum admission is always free for students from anywhere across the globe. On October 14, 2010, Holocaust Museum LA opened the doors to its permanent home in Pan Pacific Park.
