It is now a museum dedicated to President Woodrow Wilson's life and presidency. As stewards of this House, we take our responsibilities seriously. In trying to learn from regressive policies that institutionalized racism and segregation as well as the loss and obstruction of civil liberties, we share Wilson's legacy, which includes the First World War, the League of Nations, and his vision for world peace. As historians, preservationists, and educators, we are committed to sharing the truth about history, even when it is not complimentary to the subjects of the history being discussed. It's never looked better than it does right now. In recent years, speakeasies have received a great deal of attention, but there is another era of bars in America that sent young people scrambling to find a random door covered in stickers and illuminated by an ominous pink glow, known as The Underground Rave. It was not uncommon in the late twentieth century to arrive at a party by walking down an alley, past a loading dock, and entering the party through the kitchen. There were lots of neon, lots of bright colors, and lots of black lights. Because there was no craft movement at the time, people drank trashy mixed drinks like Cosmos, Long Island Iced Teas, and "the blue one," which were popular at the time. Those were the days, and we at Never Looked Better miss them, but we wanted to bring that feeling into the modern era. Drinks like Dirty Vodka Martinis made with homemade brine and fresh olives that are stuffed with soft blue cheese on a daily basis, a pink Cosmo made with Old Tom gin, fresh berry juice, and freshly squeezed lemon, and of course a silky Espresso Martini made with premium coffee liqueur and custom cold brew are all available. If that's something you're interested in, you can find us at 130 Blagden Alley in the heart of downtown. However, you must first pass through the kitchen to get to the door with the stickers on it and the bright red glow.

At FIG & OLIVE, we invite our guests to share in the joy of living life to the fullest. We begin our journey in the Mediterranean region, where fig and olive trees are revered as symbols of peace and prosperity. The French Riviera has always been a meeting point for people, cultures, and culinary traditions. With such abundance and diversity, we founded FIG & OLIVE to capture the essence of the French Riviera, which is built on a foundation of genuine ingredients, a keen understanding of flavor, and an ambiance that celebrates the love of life and culture that are synonymous with the region. Fig & Olive's cuisine is guided by a philosophy that starts, first and foremost, with a love and respect for the ingredients that are used in the preparation of the dishes. Every dish, whether it's paper-thin carpaccios, a fruity blood orange infused olive oil, a supple burrata, or an aged balsamic vinegar, is served without compromising on quality or taste. Taking inspiration from the region's love of premium-quality olive oil, we cook with minimal use of heavy sauces and creams, instead focusing on the fresh flavors that are essential to the Mediterranean Diet. The moment you walk into one of our restaurants, you will be greeted by an abundance of natural light, outdoor terraces, the scent of rosemary, and music that has been carefully selected. Every effort is made to ensure that our guests feel pampered and special during their stay. The life of luxury is represented by us, but we present it in a way that is both approachable and effortless. In our bar, lounges, or dining rooms, you can get away from it all with a delicious cocktail, a wine list selected by a sommelier, and a culinary journey unlike any other. Bienvenue.
