    Granite Springs Lodge sits on the site of a former working quarry outside Alexandria, South Dakota, where underground springs gradually filled the excavated rock basin into a clear, spring-fed lake. The property began its life as an event destination in 2006, evolving from its industrial roots into a lodge-style setting for weddings, pheasant hunting, and getaways, and it has continued to add buildings and amenities each year since. The Event Center is the lodge's dedicated space for wedding receptions, banquets, and celebrations, holding up to 299 guests indoors with additional outdoor seating for 100 more. Couples can hold their ceremony inside the Event Center or at one of two outdoor ceremony locations on the property, with no extra charge for an on-site ceremony. The space recently expanded its food serving area, bridal suite, and bar to add convenience for guests. Because ceremony, reception, and lodging can all take place on the same property, couples and their guests can move between events without traveling elsewhere. Granite Springs Lodge offers overnight accommodations across its Main Lodge, Cottage, cabins, and villas, making it well suited to weekend weddings and multi-day gatherings alongside single-day events.
