Midtown Events Center occupies a fully renovated former church in Bowling Green, Kentucky, nestled near downtown off Fairview Avenue — recognized by the historic Bowling Green water tower nearby. The building retains its original hardwood floors, stained glass windows, and chandeliers, offering a classic architectural backdrop that suits everything from intimate ceremonies to milestone celebrations. The venue hosts weddings, receptions, business meetings, conferences, and private parties. An on-site bridal suite and catering kitchen are included, and outside vendors are welcome, giving clients the flexibility to bring in their preferred caterers, florists, and entertainment. The Biltmore Hotel, which opened its doors in 1924 and served as the center of Atlanta's business and social life for over sixty years. This magnificent landmark was created by the architecture company Shultze and Weaver, which is also responsible for such iconic hotels as The Breakers in Palm Beach, the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, The Pierre, and The Sherry Netherland in Amsterdam. It was formerly referred to as "The South's Supreme Hotel," but the Biltmore was forced to lock its doors in 1982 after a change in ownership and several years of continuous deterioration. When The Biltmore underwent a complete makeover in 1999, it was the result of sixteen years of neglect and abandonment. The result was a combination of Class A office space and retail space, as well as a unique event area. The reconstruction of the Georgian and Imperial Ballrooms, which are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, allowed The Biltmore to swiftly reclaim its position as one of Atlanta's social and commercial hotspots. Miller Union is named after the former Miller Union Stockyards that occupied one full city block in Atlanta’s old meatpacking district in the 1880s. The stockyard building suffered a fire after the turn of the century and was later replaced with an industrial warehouse, typical of the time period. Miller Union, the restaurant, was founded in 2009 by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy in the refurbished warehouse that sits on the former site and has since contributed to the evolution of the neighborhood. They created a rustic, yet modern atmosphere with a respect for the history of the neighborhood, and an anchor for the emerging one. Miller Union has since become an Atlanta mainstay. Satterfield cooks in an organic way by reacting to the ever-changing harvest of the seasons. Puritan Chemical Company built and operated The Foundry at Puritan Mill, which opened its doors in 1921 and is still in operation today. A variety of cleaning goods, including Puritan soap, were created and stored in the facility until they were sent out through the nearby Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It was here that Puritan Chemical Company's Atlanta headquarters was located from 1946 to 1996. The property was bought by Urban Realty Partners and Weaver & Woodbery Company in 2000 with the intention of restoring it and converting it into a mixed-use site. The Foundry, with its 12,000 square feet of floor area, is a wonderfully striking and adaptable event venue. Original wood beams, spacious skylights, and polished concrete floors create a backdrop rich with character and history, highlighting the industrial past and vibrant present of Atlanta's popular Westside neighborhood and its surrounding neighborhoods. Our property includes a 30,000 square-foot old industrial warehouse with vast and adaptable event spaces and plenty of nearby parking, which was built in the 1920s. Guests are greeted by an urban pavilion, light-filled lobby, and lecture hall, which are just steps away from our galleries and special exhibitions, providing an artistic complement to your event. Our Pavilion, Studio Artist Courtyard, and Lecture Hall are all available for weddings and receptions. Outside, the open-air Pavilion, with its original building architecture and lots of room for your perfect ceremony setting, or the Studio Artist Courtyard, nestled among our artists' studios and natural flora, are both excellent options. Sun in my Belly, which occupies the area formerly occupied by Bailey & Sons Hardware, is charming and unique. We have three places available, each of which can be rented separately or as a whole. We've hosted weddings, birthday parties, corporate meetings, and concerts in our space, and we love seeing the personal touches that our guests bring with them for their important occasions. Sun in my Belly is located in Kirkwood, a short walk from the East Lake Marta station, in a former hardware store where chef Alison used to shop when SIMB was in its beginnings. It is divided into three sections: front, center, and salon. All three are for rent, as well as a whole restaurant buyout.
