The Taos Art Museum at Fechin House is a nonprofit museum in Taos, New Mexico's historic district, housed within a 3,545 square-foot Pueblo and Mission Revival adobe home designed and hand-built by Russian-American artist Nicolai Fechin between 1928 and 1933. Fechin personally carved the building's columns, stair rails, vigas, doors, and furniture from imported sugar pine and poplar using traditional techniques — adzing surfaces by hand before adding intricate carved details. The house earned National Registry of Historic Places status in 1979 and a New Mexico Architectural Foundation Award. Three spaces are available for private events. The Gardens accommodate up to 150 guests across open grassy areas, a stone patio, and a vine arch framing Sangre de Cristo Mountain views — well-suited for weddings and outdoor receptions. The Fechin Studio offers an intimate historic setting for up to 50 guests for art workshops and private gatherings. The Janis and Roy Coffee Gallery hosts up to 40 guests with licensed catering available.
